That one's a classic. Makes me want to play this again reading all these quotes.

"Annoying bird, I am the great LEON!"

That's my favourite because my name is Leon and my girlfriend of the time was, well, annoying.

Hello btw (1st post).

I love Lylatwars so much. We really need another good Starfox.

Started replaying this earlier as a result of this thread. Great fun. The music's brilliant as well, which I never really picked up on before.

Oh gooseberry fool.

I may have been drinking but that Slippy video is quite possibly the greatest thing I have ever seen. Or heard. Whatever.

It just won't be the same when they get Retro or Factor 5 to do a new Starfox. Only the Japanese can get away with such madness.

When you consider the boost in music quality MARIO picked up when moving to orchestral music this gen, a Starfox title with the same degree of musical fidelity could be staggering.

Indeed. I'd love a new, proper, Lylat Wars/Starfox. Completed it again last night, too easy now but still great fun to play.

Isn't it just incredibly depressing that - eleven years on - Lylat Wars remains the pinnacle of voice-acting in a Nintendo game?

For me this is one of the first games that comes to mind when the N64 is mentioned. It just signifies that era for me, and brings me back to that enchanting feeling of being a kid again. Such a memorable game and it's a shame Nintendo have never come close to its majesty in the franchise since (Though I actually liked Starfox Command).

We (My brothers and I) never did unlock on foot in multiplayer despite trying  But it's comforting to know it wasn't worth the effort anyway! :D

Is Slippy male or female?

I've never been sure.

Played this for *time* back in the day.

Wanna play it again but how is it with the Classic Controller?
