Man I love this game. The characters and voices are just brilliant and still fondly remembered to this day. Its so dramatic and satisfying. The combo system, trying to nail as many enemies with a single charge shot works really well. The silky controls allow you to add some of your own style using with the barrel roll, loop, etc or even just gently gliding around.
Anyone else feel the same? Please take care of Starfox this gen Nintendo!

DO A BARREL ROLL!
Yes, Lylat wars was and still is amazing. Easily the best game in the entire series. Nothing beats the stupidly difficult Lava level in the middle of the game, I really hated that.
I still to this day have never got to the level with Bill in it.

How have you not got to Bill's level?

Great game, yes. Bit of a bitch that there's no level select/save (if my memory serves me correctly) but it's still great and short enough to play through in one setting I guess. The controls were superb, and besides Slippy, it wasn't a frustrating game, just fun.
Got it on an emulator, looks good in high-res.

I'm actually not sure why. I think it's the level before on the left side. I never get a high enough score for some stupid reason.

One of my favourite N64 games and I recently bought it on the VC. Absolutely brilliant.

This was a level select away from perfection. Loved every bit of this, even the submarine level was good, nice change of pace and relaxed you before the madness that was to come. Still rememeber the time I beat Star Wolf with no wingmen, that was a good day.

I like this game so much it's in my top 5 N64 games, everything from the gameplay/level design/graphics to the characters and boss battles just sums up what Nintendo are all about.
I remember being blown away the first time I felt the rumble explosion when that boss cries "You'll never defeat Androooooooooooooooooooooooooooossssssssss"

This game is so quotable its unreal. When I played through it again not long ago I could pretty much recite it all word-for-word.

Playing on foot was crap, nice to see but really no point in actually playing it.
