Basically even ford himself can’t do a young indie voice, in a flashback in the last movie they had to alter it to fit and even then it didn’t really work.

Wolfenstein games do a very good job of showing the protagonist (BJ Blazkowicz) so they show him off a lot. Very strange complaint about having the guys face in the game, if it wasn’t you’d probably criticise it!

I'm not specifically complaining about having his face in the game, just found it weird that they would license the likeness of Harrison Ford and Denholm Elliott, then not use their voices. Turns out Denholm Elliott died in 1992, so that's a pretty good reason, and if people are saying that Harrison Ford's voice in the last film sounded gooseberry fool, then that's also a good reason, but it then begs the question, why bother with such photorealistic likenesses in the first place, when they could go for something that's less uncanny valley.

I think it looks like great fun and I'm interested in playing it now, more than I was following the announcement.

How involved actually is Todd Howard in this though? Having his name emblazoned in the trailer as if his name is any kind of seal of quality really irked me.

I hope it's A) good and B) sells well because if not it'll be the coffin for Jones. Video games are the perfect medium to now carry on the lineage.

Graphically it's not cutting edge, but I think it looks perfectly acceptable. First person could be brilliant or terrible. The more platforming type stuff you throw in, the more awkward or automated it can feel (EA's Mirror's Edge was hit and miss). Walking simulators and gun-based combat is usually brilliant...take the guns away however, and janky combat is prone to making an appearance.

At least they've now removed direct comparisons with Uncharted, Tomb Raider and maybe even Metal Gear Solid/Splinter Cell because you just know stealth would have made an appearance as well in a third person title. Indiana Jones on OG Xbox was very good for its time as a third person effort. Was a shame that the unreleased Indiana Jones game that was shown off in 2007 I think it was (with images of Jones fighting on top of a cable car or tram in San Francisco) was scrapped.

Does anyone know if Emperor's Tomb still holds up? I loved it when it came out but I was only 13 so now I can't remember if it was actually any good or not. Wouldn't mind giving it another go but I can't imagine it'll run well on modern systems.

Gamepass Day 1, it's success will not only be sales but how many subs Xbox gain.

Hope this is out in August. Stalker 2 out 5th Sep then maybe Avowed in Oct & COD/Ara in Nov. Plus MS got to fit MSFS 2024/Starfield DLC/Towerborne in somewhere along with whatever's announced at "E3". Crazy times.

Indy looks like Indy but in some parts, Indy looks a bit.... off.

Anyway thus does look good. Hopefully there will be a lot of puzzles. I'm really pleased they didn't do a Uncharted/Tomb Raider Clone and did it in first person view.
