Those glasses are alright Buff, but I personally prefer frames with thin arms. And Bench are great for winter clothing, I had a brilliant, thick zip-up sweatshirt/coat that I wore every winter...until the sleeve got ripped

I recently got a nice pair of Jeff Banks glasses:

As mentioned elsewhere, I bought this jacket from Burtons on Monday:

Along with this beanie:

Think I might get this t-shirt from Uniqlo:

You were doing so well!

Nice glasses mate. I have a pair of semi-rimless Pradas at the moment, but I'm thinking that they look a bit odd - the half frame is quite a thick black. Yours are subtle, so it works. Where do you get your glasses from?
Got a real eye opener in Bench, I must say. And some of the staff

I like Uniqlo but hate Oxford Street :(

I kind of need new glasses (with a new prescription as well really but not sure I wear mine enough to justify getting a nice pair but then maybe if I bought a nice pair I'd wear them more.

You definately will, especially if you get a really sharp-looking pair. A lot of people seemingly forget that they're on your face for all to see, and buy some horrific frames.
Also, go with the scarf-blazer look again, it can look alright. See, blazers do have a rep now, I reckon. Has to be a thin scarf, probably.

I said I don't wear scarves with blazers.

Also I bough this watch while in the US, I've worn a watch because I find them so horribly uncomfortable, this feels fine though and I really like the way it looks so always wear it, which I guess goes with the expensive glasses argument.

I got them from Glasses Direct http://www.glassesdirect.co.uk/ I've already got a pair of semi-rimless Osiris ones from Specsavers, but I also bought those Jeff Banks ones since I had a 25%-off voucher from them, they ended up costing around £125 with scratch-resistant & anti-reflective coating, UV filter and thinner lenses. You can enter your prescription on a form on the website, or just scan it an email it to them when you order. You get a free pair too, I got some generic geek ones. I've got four pairs of glasses now, even though I mostly wear contacts  :fp:

And hating on Uniqlo :fp: I got this Peace Walker t-shirt from them not long ago:

That's a bloody good price for those glasses, definately checking that website out in future. I have a Jeff Banks suit -the brand in general is pro as strawberry float. I'm getting my glasses from Vision Express, and...well, they're not costing £125 :(

I approve of this thread.

I need to fix myself up with some more Autumn/Winter togs, predominantly a new waterproof mac, and a nice wool coat. Unfortunately, I really can't afford these right now, and by the time I can, anything I have my eye on now will be out of stock.

Still, M&S are pretty good at stocking lines for ages, so if this is still around, I'll be grabbing it:

Yeah if I was getting something similar from Specsavers it would have been above £200. The glasses I got from there back in April were around £195 and getting the equivalent thinner lenses would have added on a fair chunk to the price. I didn't really need the thinner lenses from Glasses Direct, but that package included the UV filter protection, while the lower one didn't. Their prices are a lot cheaper basically because they don't have to pay a bunch of shop assistants, and they don't provide you with eye tests.

EDIT: that's a nice jacket, Knoyleo.

Team Metro is in the house 8-) Awesome coat, Knoy.

Is UV-coating the same as anti-glare coating? I get the Vision Express version and it's awesome - fantastic for headlights when driving in the dark, computer screens, and bright office lights.

UV coating is not anti-glare. Anti glare stops light passing through the frames from a certain direction, whilst UV coating is just to reduce the amount of UV rays penetrating (heheh) the glass, thus protecting your eyes on sunny days, but not really making anything appear any less bright.

I need to get myself a coat like that. It'll stop me freezing my bollocks off this winter. :fp:

UV coating is separate, it blocks UV rays from the sun.

Why would someone living in Scotland - with their weather - be concerned about protecting their eyes from UV rays? Hurr hurr hurr.

Cosmo -

They're no thermal, well mine isn't. If I wanted to keep warm it's not what I'd choose.
