I need to fix myself up with some more Autumn/Winter togs, predominantly a new waterproof mac, and a nice wool coat. Unfortunately, I really can't afford these right now, and by the time I can, anything I have my eye on now will be out of stock.

Still, M&S are pretty good at stocking lines for ages, so if this is still around, I'll be grabbing it:

I need to get myself a coat like that. It'll stop me freezing my bollocks off this winter. :fp:

That's not a warm coat, just a weatherproofed one.

Knoyleo, just realised that jacket is pretty much the same as the charcoal one I have - the one Buff loves so much

I think their proper name is a reefer jacket, if I remember correctly.

Warmth is overrated. I was taking the old dear shopping on the monday I got my gear and she was picking up these enormous (albeit nice) winter coats for me to wear. I mean, yeah if you're standing around bus stops for hours on end a week or whatever, but a lot of the coats out there are just huge. Freeze and look cool, I say.

I think it's the colour that does yours no favours. And your buttons are way bigger

The key is layers. An extra t shirt under your regular garments, or another thin jacket under the outer coat, will not only go to great lengths to keep you warm, they also allow you to adjust to different temperatures throughout your day. All on for the walk from home to the station, take off the coat on the train, then both coat and jacket off for when you arrive at your heated workplace, for example.

That was directed @ Buff, although not very clearly.

The best is probably Debrett's Guide for the Modern Gentleman.

What I was really looking for was a super-sharp 'going out' jacket. Something thin.

See, a kick-ass jacket means you can wear any old been-on-the-bedroom-floor-three-days bollocks, see

Ah, I thought it was one of those sharp looking wool ones.

How much was that shirt buff? I need a new one for the weekend, and that actually quite nice. Bravo.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Let's talk underwear - 5 boxers for £5 from Primark, or some expensive, swish looking boxer briefs that really outline your package? I want some new boxer briefs.

Or are you a pants man? Or a, god forbid, novelty boxers fool?
