Thank you for being the only Citizen to properly engage with the Russian Roulette thing and subsequently actually getting something out of it (at least I hope you did).

The only reason the Russian Roulette thing worked out in favour of the Mafia is down to the Citizens steadfast refusal to engage with it. A couple of people complained about being put up but then did absolutely nothing to try and change that, instead choosing to go down the 'this is unfair route' . Look a Drumstick, at one point he was going to go in but rather than freak out just let his nomination fall away and escaped unnoticed.

The reason the Citizens lost was down to inactivity really. As far as I'm aware the Mafia kills were down to luck.

EDIT: Not sure how I feel about doing it again, it's just too painful updating a thread with zero activity in it and I don't know how to remedy that

Lack of activity by the citizens and MC leaving his reveal too late scuppered things. The citizens really were gooseberry fool.

Well done to the Mafia. Sykes and Drummy are notoriously sneaky strawberry floats when they're wolves/mafia.

Kudos.

How obvious Cutty and Drummy made it quickly jump in and defend Sykes/vote for Mind Crime. Should never had been able to get away with that. And wouldn't if DR wasn't such a noob and people were active.

By that point there weren't enough active people left to turn the tide so I didn't see the need to bother posting a load of rubbish. Even if DR got back in time and changed his vote, with Frank switching his vote to Mind Crime it would have been a tie, and MC would have been offed in the night phase.

I still can't believe DR though.

strawberry float off, Denster. It is in no way my fault that DarkRitual was so easily fooled, then went to work, and that a few villagers weren't playing. My reveal would have been perfectly timed in a proper situation.

It wouldn't be the same without a strawberry float up from you Azza!

I messages Drummy. :fp:

If Deluisbeta had used his pm and contacted one of the Mafia he almost certainly wouldn't have been killed last night so it wasn't as stupid as it may seem.

Also you're idea of "I'll start an important post with ..." was exactly what was called for.

I was planning on saying "So Sykes, Drummy, and Frank, who should we kill tonight to win this thing?"

Actually it would have been better if Frank did it.

A day too late. Sorry, but it was. You already had two of them and SD as a nurse to back up your claim.
As Drummy said - DR's idiocy wouldn't have changed anything.

1) The prize was useless. No Mafia member in his right mind would go up for it, since there was no way to reply, so they were determined to stuff the table with innocents (they succeeded).
2) It was a game of chance, which flies in the face of the whole concept of the game. It's a game of thought, so sticking a chance to not get god-killed in the middle of the game made no sense.
3) Worst case scenario, it could have lead to six innocents vs four mafia (assuming all 18 players survived to that point). At the state of play, it could have ended the game there and then. If that wasn't a sign of a broken mechanic, I don't know what is.

I don't believe that for one second.

The russian roulette thing had to happen as the citizens were doing strawberry float all.

Oblomov I have to say I agree with Denster. It's absolutely not your fault the Citizens lost but I really think you should have jumped into the Roulette game and forced a Mafia in there too, especially once you knew your only form of protection was going to be in there.

You being able to confess your role to DarkRitual/Deluisbeta or Shotdead if he had survived would have been invaluable to the team.

I can see why you didn't 50/50 chance of getting killed and you didn't want that but I think it just needed a bold move, which to be fair you weren't the only one that failed to put one forward.

You are right though, from your confession last night the Citizens should have won the game and it's the inactives fault they didn't. All in all I think you still have to go down as one of the better Seers/Detectives, good game.

I can understand the grievances of the roulette game, as the reward wasn't *brilliant* for citizens.

Perhaps a better idea would be; put 6 people in. One definitely dies, but the rest get a free message.

Sorry MC - your seering was first class if it's any consolation and the inactives was far bigger factor than your delay.

It made going out on the first night even more frustrating.

Thanks for that Drummy and co - if that was just for the lols - then you are bastards!

Poor Denny. A game with no vigilantes and he still gets whacked on the first night.

...

So did anyone else nominate him?
