You might as well do that now :fp:

No harm in looking into it.

Day 8

A crowd stands at the grave of Detective smurphy, they have been whipped into a furious anger by his brutal assassination last night by Cadeby's Mafia.

After his body was found and his identity revealed his house was searched for clues as to whether his investigation had progressed any further, unfortunately none were found, the citizens would have to investigate from here on out.

In their rage a name had emerged from the crowd and now that the mourning was complete the dull thud of angry feet made their way to the targets home.

As they did this though the target had heard on the wind that he was next for the chop and not wanting to hang around hot footed it out the door taking with him only his handgun.

He was too late though, as he left his door the mob were within sight and a furious chase began. The man was chased through town to the very edges of Cadeby and the bridge over the river Cade that had given the city it's name.

As the man fired off shots over his shoulder, clipping the legs of two of the mob he lost his balance and stumbled to the floor, the mob were upon him in seconds.

As they circled in on him the man pleaded his innocence but the crowd were beyond the point of caring. In their rage they kicked and punched him till he was a bloody mess.

Barely alive the mine was raised up off the ground, by his wrists and ankles, with one last shout in his lungs he screamed " AJ GOES INTO THE UNKNOWN".

No sooner had he said this, he was hurled over the edges of the bridge, onto the rocky river below. It was the shattering of his spine that killed him, though his cracked open skull and pierced thigh could also have done the job adequately.

AJ Styles was dead, The Game...

I can't see Mini E or HM being Mafia, I'm thinking our man was in the "let's not lynch Smurph" group.

But why? It makes no logical sense. It seems like you're just trying to deflect attention from yourself because you voted for Smurphy.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Smurph was probably always going to get killed whether we lynched him or not so a mafia voting for him to be lynched and then bumping him off knowing that everyone who voted for him would be investigated just seems a bit amateurish :?

But look at the vote for Nood vs. Smurphy.

It was at a time 4-4 before a couple of late votes swung the balance. With the potential there for the remaining Mafia member to save his partner, do you really think he would vote for Nood to help mask his own identity instead? The vote for that one was close almost all of the way through, so I think it's more likely (unless he was one of the late voters) that he would vote for Smurphy.

Sorry AJ, you can see why people thought you could be mafia though.

This game is making me paranoid and to doubt all my instincts :fp: Logic says that it'd be someone who voted for murphy is mafia - but I know it's not me.. and PCCD doesn't seem like mafia material (no offence, unless you've played the cleverest game ever ever ever  )

So it seems I'm next in line to be lynched, not gona fight or defend my corner have done when I was up last time, although it seems half the reason people are voting me is that they don't like me, which is nice. I've said why I backed PCCD, why I thought smurphy was lying etc. Lynch me, don't lynch me, don't really care either way. It will be just another lynched wasted while the remaining mafia has an extra day.

Night 8

As the citizens of Cadeby come to terms with their earlier maniacal killing they also have a wave of relief wash over them. For the first time in weeks they feel safe.

Celebrating their new found freedom they decide to go and have a drink in a city bar, the Trading Post is voted the most popular haunt.

Walking through the streets, although Night has fallen there is an odd bright feel to the journey as if a great weight has been lifted from their minds, they set about discussing how they're going to tell the rest of Cadeby of their bravery and success in clearing the Mafia from the city.

As the citizens approach the Trading Post one of them points at the ground at a trail of blood, in darker days this would be unspectacular but this blood is fresh maybe 5-10 minutes old.

Quickly they follow it's path, it leads them towards the cross roads and as they approach something is seen bundled in the street, a race to see what it is begins.

As the bundle comes into view one of the citizens screams and falls to the floor.

As the horror of their situation crashes into them like a steam train, they all seem to crumble.

The bundle was a body, shot right between the eyes, blood trickling out of the whole in the back of the pale figures head.

As one of the broken citizens stands up to inspect it closer he finds the victim laying their dead is none other than Townsfolk aaronayl1!

He bends down and closes aaronayl's cold eyelids and walks home, devastated that tonight he would not sleep safely after all.

While everyone sets about stringing up HM for whatever reason they have I'm up for looking into the other lot who voted for Nood if anyone wants to join me.

I don't want to sound like a stuck record but again Smurph being the mafia kill was always going to throw the spotlight onto whoever voted to have him lynched. Also it'd be straightforward for the last man to get mafia kills and he could kill off Smurph which would lead to him being able to hide behind the "I voted for Nood" defence. If Smurph had been strung up Nood was always going to be next to be strung up regardless because of his pisspoor defence, the he says/she says over whether Smurph was really the detective and anyone who voted for Smurph would likely be put back under the microscope.

Unless this person is inexperienced in playing as a wolf then it doesn't make sense to vote for Smurph.

PCCD: I appreciate your points and understand that it is possible to carve out various scenarios upon where voting for either Smurphy or Nood would make tactical sense, but from a team point of view, I simply can't see the lone Mafia member sacrificing his partner. It's illogical. Sure, as I have stated previously, if the vote was a landslide, then it would make sense to go along with the pack. I don't think we are going to agree though, regardless.

Seeing as AJ voted for Nood, I propose we go after someone who voted for Smurphy next, unless any better evidence comes to light. I really don't suspect you, PCCD, although I don't know if you were ever 'confirmed' as the Nurse.

So ideally I'd like either HM or Mini E gone.

I'd go along with that, I don't suspect either of them so I'm not going to vote unless something earthshattering comes along but I'd want us to hedge our bets for afterward.
