Generation Terrorists fan here. Released when I was still a teenager (just), its angst resonated with me greatly.

Eveything up to and including Know Your Enemy was great, but I kind of lost interest after that.

Sorry, yeah - JDB released a solo album (Even In Exile - inspired by the life of the Chilean activist Victor Jara) which I thought was excellent but didn't get much recognition. Later, the Manics released an album (The Ultra Vivid Lament) which got to number one, but aside from the opening track (Still Snowing In Sapporo) I didn't think it was much good. I need to give it another listen really.

Ah, OK. Neither of those was last year though. Even In Exile was 2020!

THB > EMG > JFPL > TIMTTMY > GT > GATS > KYE > SATT > PFAYM > L

Haven't listened to anything since then, they went a little bit too middle of the road for me. Holy Bible and Everything Must Go are indisputably their best works by a long long way.

Always been a fan, but never a huge fan. I think Gold Against the Soul was my favourite album, but I must admit, I had them all onm a huge itunes list and just let it roll so songs from different albums merged.

I always felt Send Away the Tigers got too muchs tick, it's pretty good.

Yes, yes we do

One thing I will always love Manics fans for is the band releasing a (very good) song effectively slagging them off for hating their success of This is My Truth…. and then going out to buy enough copies to get it to number one.

Brilliant.

Yeah, there were a subset of Manics fans back then who just wanted every album to be like their earlier stuff. True of most fanbases I think.

This Is My Truth ended up being one of their best 2 albums for me, so I'm glad they expanded their music.
