Made some good progress with this today and cleared the second world, beating the big ice bunny thing boss.

Those slab things, fuuuuuuuuu. I'm good at splitting my party wide around them and almost ping ponging their attention, but when one sprouts near you:

:x

But then sometimes this happens:

I'd like to ditch one of the Rabbids, but the vampire ability is just too useful, real Luigi has too little health and Mario Rabbid just looks like a twat. Proper princess toadstool has shown up now though so I may ditch her rabbid counterpart.

I never use real Luigi very much as I found him as one of the weakest characters. :fp:

I used him all the way through, his vaccum bomb and sniper abilities got me out of many a jam I have to say.

Luigi has overwatch that automatically makes him one of the best characters

I don’t think there are any weak characters individually. There are definitely weak team combinations but each character has a viable strategy you can use, it’s just some are more immediately obvious.

Luigi was probably my best team member throughout! The range on him and particularly his triple counter shot (or whatever it's called) is invaluable.

Didn't the Donkey Kong content come out today? I bought it ages ago but haven't had time to play it yet. Any initial impressions?

Yeah it came out, I havent gotten a chance to play it yet due ti a combination of my internet being super slow and taking forever to download it and me being stuck into Hollow Knight. Im really looking forward to it though, I loved it the first time around and its one of those games I just want to experience more of so I loved when they announced DLC for it.

I'm in the spooky world. Those boos are bastards, they moved one character right to the back for the entire round.

How amazing is the atmosphere in that world, though? One of my favourite gameworlds ever, I reckon. Lovely little touches all over the place.

It's so good.

Probably the best part of the game.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

It might sound weird but I think this game have the best controller vibration when you killed the enemies or Peach’s boom gun.

It’s hard to explain how it feels but I’m sure you all know it.

Made a start on Donkey Kong Adventure this evening and it’s just more of the same, sublime joy. DLC done right. This game

I'm in world 4 now and it's got noticeably tougher. I want to try out some of the other characters I've not touched yet but as I've not used them, they are on their start weapons and I can't afford to buy the good ones, which seems like a bit of an oversight.

World 4 pushed me to use a lot of the characters I never touched previously. There's one section that's back to back battles and I couldn't think of a way to do it in the turn requirements to get a perfect on every one without Rabbid Mario. Not going to lie, slightly confounded that your non-team members have their starting weapons, and you don't have money to buy better ones. What are you doing with all your money? Are you buying every single weapon for your main team? :o I was swimming in money.

It's such an amazing game, I'm praying we get a sequel, or something in the same vein.
