Yes.

Toot-toot!

I'll be surprised if you can buy it this early, dude. It won't be playable until Tuesday at midnight, though.

:o . Blimey, OR, you must have racked up a few hours on it.

[Turns on Switch. Searches for OR's profile. Remembers how cool his Mii image looks! Sees that the gameplay time for M+R isn't visible yet].

Finished World 1 so after finishing it and unlocking the ability to move crates I've dived back in to the first World to find some secret goodies. Found the secret bridge and beat the mid-boss again.

This bloody game

Think I'll go have another half hour in bed before shut eye!

Finished world 1, loved the boss and rabbid peach's moments with him.

Only way to describe this game is lovely. It's like XCom but instead of wanting to make players cry with it's difficulty it wants only to make people smile.

Don't mind replaying the difficult bits as it's pure joy. Sniper Luigi is sublime and the overwatch move with him and Mario double teaming a poor flying rabbid is epic.

Curious to see if it's easy (it is a Mario strategy game) or if it presents a challenge at some point to adults.

Some of the World 1 extra challenges have been a bit tough, most likely will be a piece of piss when I get upgrades and better weapons.

After a few days away from the game I've just completed stage 1-7. I really liked how cool the sunshine and shadows looked. I got past the two Smashers and next up is 1-8...

Yeah! I'm in area 1-9 and, after a few attempts, I've won the battle where you have to defeat two smashers and two Rabbids :toot: . That was quite tough - it seems best to stay clear of the smashers and to avoid actions that make them charge towards you.

Just hit 100% complete. Suffice to say I really like this game.

Of the four ultimate challenges, 1 is by far the hardest. I did 2 on my second attempt, and 3 + 4 first time. Still definitely challenging though!

Roll on DLC

Attacking them to bait them into rushing you can be really useful if you have at least one character with a reaction shot ready, or bait them into a waiting sentry.

This is really strawberry floating good. I hope it sells well. Good show that 3rd party games can do well on the switch, then we can get some other decent 3rd party stuff.

It deserves to sell but I'm not sure how convincing it'll be in terms of encouraging further 3rd party support because it's carrying the Mario brand. Hopefully it'll push Ubisoft at least-I really want the next South Park on Switch.

Would also like to think it'll encourage Nintendo to consider future collaborations.

Also, how good is the music in this? Grant Kirkhope has knocked it out of the park.

I'm up to World 2-7 now, cruising along nicely.

Just unlocked...

The Vamp weapon you can purchase for him has been handy and I'll have to rethink strategy on using other team mates when it's used to replenish their health too, replaced Luigi just to give him a try.

Peach is the only one I toyee with swapping for Luigi - but his range is too good to give up

Second half of world 3 has ramped up mechanics and scale

Nice shots, Kj - I can see that they're from Flickr - can you post them to that app directly from the Switch? I've only tried Twitter posts and that's only because I want to be able to share shots here in GRcade.

Sadly not  I need to fully power down the Switch and pop the Micro SD card in my PC and upload them that way. Not that bad doing it that way, takes about 1 minute I just need to make sure I'm not actually in the middle of a game before doing it.

I've defeated the boss - Rabbid Kong - at the end of world 1 and now I feel like an epic war strategist* :toot: . Man, did that battle go on - I had thought we had dufffed him up and then he jumped to the next zone :o . The major battle with the Smashers just before this fight was ace, too.

I am really pleased that I grabbed this title - it's the most fun that I've had with a game in ages and it has even made me forget bout the death of Miiverse for a while :) .

* Even though I dropped the boss battle to "easy" level...

What a game this is! I'm only up to 1-8 but it is just oozing quality! Fantastic stuff!

Quick question - if I press 'x' to go to Battle HQ, can I return to the exact point I left? Or do I have to go through all the previous battles again?
