It really is good, isn't it? The Switch has been a slow burner for me but this game has made me smile and develop a fondness for the system :) .

Yeah, you can press X to sort out your weaponary and return straight to the battle... I think, Finish. I have used it whilst exploring but I'm uncertain that you could do this whilst in a battle, though.

I've used Battle HQ on the move which basically paused the game but never during a battle. Pretty sure it can be used pre-battle when it gives you the option to fight or plan as you have weapons that have certain effects against different rabbids/bosses.

I just tried it - right before passing through the flags to the battle arena. I returned right to the same point after sorting my weapons etc, so that's good!

Thanks for your answers!

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

I didn't know you can swap out the non-Mario characters half way through a chapter :fp: Good for when Luigi and Rabbid Peach are low on HP.

The game crashed last night for me right at the end of 3-2. I feel a bit on edge as a battle draws to a close now.

Half way through this now-pretty much exactly. Have Worlds 1 and 2, completed to 100%, challenges and all.

Went back to do World 1 chapters I didn't get Perfect on and found them super easy because of improved team stats so I'm going to make sure I do World 3 to 100% before moving on to 4.

Having a great time with it though. My main complaint is having to always use Mario. I don't have the Yoshis yet but I find Mario to be the least useful character in the game!

Nah Mario is great for Dash attack followed up with a Bounce attack and then his Hero Shot (Unlock multiple shots too) and up close with his hammer. Can deal a huge amount of damage when used right.

The bounce attack is great to be fair, but I just prefer the options offered by the other players. I find their uses more specific so it's more fun building a team and a strategy from that. Maybe it'll change as i upgrade Mario more though.

You can also use battle factory at the start of most battles in the "planning" phase, so you can see what you're up against then switch out characters/weapons accordingly.

Reaction shots are the most useful ability in the game for both their added damage and their ability to interrupt enemy turns. But don't forget Mario's M-power ability too - I didn't use it much going through the game, but it became /super/ useful in the post-game. Combined with an AOE attack like a sentry you can wipe so many enemies in a single attack.

So I just completed World 3 and without giving anything away, the final boss was probably the most I've ever smiled during a boss battle.

The midboss in world 2 is pretty tricky, tried three times so far but keep getting destroyed

Is that the fire and ice one? Definitely one of trickier ones. Took me a few attempts.

Did that battle first time. Barely. Concentrated on the Fire boss first.

Yeah this is the one, I first split up and tried to get up top with Mario but by the time I did the rest of the group got destroyed!

I'll try again tonight and focus on the fire guy first and keep the group together

Great looking game, very close to Nintendo's CG box arts

Yeah I just did that one by the skin of my teeth! Think focusing on one boss and then the other, while sparing fairly minimal shots at the regulars, was the best bet.

I looked at how long I played the game for, and I come in at 40-45 hours. I'm not sure how I played it that much so quick, but that's a hefty sized game!

This, just watched the intro to it before sticking in standby while I shower but that song at the start had me grinning like mad.

I'm on 35+ having completed the story and 4 World 4 challenges. I suspect when I'm done with World 4 (got some perfects to do) and the 4 extra challenges I'll be in the 40-45 hour mark.

It's definitely decent value. What I like about the 100% completionist option is its not too repetitive. It's very enjoyable going back through and getting everything.
