Also Stay Dead, are you planning on combining the results in some way?

I much prefer Koopa City for time trials then last weeks track. Whilst its enjoyable in GP it got tedious pretty quickly.

From this week I'll start doing a table of running placements, so for first you get 10 points, second 8, third 6 etc.

Thanks. Points is a good idea, should encourage more people to submit times.

Getting closer to Seven's posted time. Have copied the ghost by going Metal Mario in the blue car with big wheels.

Well this is the first week of a new cup, so it'll be from now I start collecting the points. ^^

Do you need photographic evidence of our times or what? Because looking back at some weeks I'm very suspicious with some of the times posted by some people... :shifty:

I'm down to about 2:04:xxxx, but cannot catch that bloody staff ghost for love nor money!

I'm definitely entering this week if we're doing points. I've actually been doing the TT's each week, but constantly forgetting to post/PM StayDead, but a proper points system is the hook that's gonna catch this mackerel.

Down to 2:04 ish too - I think I need to unlock some more karts and characters - I'm sure I'm missing an edge not having metal Mario unlocked for a start.

After about 27 hours of playing I've finally managed to 3 Star every single Grand Prix cup. Last cup (the one with Rainbow Road) on 150cc took the longest time to get. Not sure how I managed it just then because I only collected 4 coins from both Rosalina's Ice World and Bowsers Castle (10 coins from DK level and Rainbow road) so thought that would count against me.

Also managed to knocked a couple seconds off my best time for the Koopa City time trial.

Got 2:09:955 as Metal Mario

2 minute barrier breached! Yes! 8-)

Played this track non-stop for like 2 hours trying to get a new best time.

I'm done. I know it's possible to do better, I keep getting so close only to make a mistake. Hoping I've done enough. My thumb can't take it anymore:

Things about this time trialling that make me laugh:

1) As you are setting a new good time, a voice in your head gets louder and louder the closer you get to the end saying 'you're going to screw up, you're going to screw up, etc...', causing you to make the most stupid mistake that you would never normally do.

2) You're setting what you think is a blazing new time, optimal racing lines etc and your previous ghost sails past you effortlessly near the end. Git!
