Did you own it on Wii U? Because this game is pretty much perfect. I honestly can't see where they'll go from here for MK9 and I can see them doing one for quite some time.

Fortunately for me I sold my Wii U copy for about £25 and never bought the DLC so an extra £15 for all the DLC tracks, handheld mode (which is amazing, by the way) and a 1080p update is worth it.

I hope the DLC tracks are as good as the originals.

The Wii U and 3DS eShops are updated at 14:00 (UK) every Thursday, Winckle... but for "big" game releases the titles become available at 00:01 (UK) on the day of release.

So, if the Switch release process matches that of the Wii U and 3DS systems, it should be available at 00:01 on Friday morning.

Edit: Apparently it is turned on by default in online modes too, but tournaments can be set up which don't allow smart steering. I kinda like the idea so that young people / inexperienced people / people who find it physically difficult to use a controller can play - that's great! - but you just know that there will be some trolls who won't even touch the controller during races.

It is, and if you know how to play the game it's awful.

Not having that pink boost and also not being able to cut corners easily makes it terrible for experienced Karters.

Hey chaps, two questions. How much is this to download (and how large is the download)? And how is it for relative noobs? I only ever played Mario Kart on GBA and DS. Is there a solid single player game or is it mainly MP focused? And will the MP be a disaster for me, because of all the people experienced in the Wii U version wiping the floor with me?
