So I've played a bit (but mainly watched my kids play) and it's fun.

However, all 3 of us are complaining that the karts don't always turn when you want them to. I've made sure motion controls are off and it's button only but we still end up not being able to turn when we want sometimes. Anyone else getting this? (This is when each player has a single joycon rotated 90 degrees)

Have you turned off Auto Steer?

Do you mean they're not responding to your controls or they understeer and you hit outside walls?

Because if it's the latter you need to pick a kart/bike with better handling and/or drift around corners. I don't think you can take sharp bends without drifting at any speed other than maybe 50cc.

If you're playing with Joycons detached, could it be the infamous 'left joycon issue'?

My missus offered to buy me this, I'm tempted to take her up on the offer. Cause I ain't strawberry floating buying it.

I haven't bought it. Tbh, the next Switch game I'll buy myself will likely be splatoon 2. I want Puyo Puyo Tetris, but it's £41 on Amazon and Super Bomberman R is the same. If the price doesn't go down on PPT soon, I'll grab the PS4 version.

Yeah. We're only playing 50cc for now.

How do you know the characteristics of a kart? I've not seen anything showing me that

I think I tried 200cc like once or twice on Wii U and that was more than enough.

Starting with 50cc I've been working my way through all the cups. Decided to try a quick race on 200cc and chose Big Blue, I won but it felt almost too fast. :oops:

I'm so rusty at Mario Kart.

200cc is too fast and isn't as fun as 150cc. Only dicks heads disagree. Probably Dragon and Qikz fall into that category.
