Considering I have lunch if I really want to at 3PM (although they're forcing me to go at 2 now) I doubt anyone else will be on.

Lol ok. I don't take my switch into work, but it is a handheld machine, so why not maximise its use?

Oh I'll be playing it at lunch during work most certainly.

If it ends up being Monday - I hope all your children have tiny cocks. Especially your daughters!

So... this "smart steering", then...

... . I guess it's there for young (7 and under?) players... or Dragon when he falls asleep on race 3. Luckily it appears that online racing can be setup to exclude this mode.

I'm starting to wonder if Matt had secretly activated the mode on the U version; it would explain a lot.

I hadn't thought about that coming into effect when I fall asleep. We should enable it :shifty:

I quite like that they've included that assisted steering. My little 4-year-old nephew is always wanting to play Mario Kart on my sisters WiiU but struggles on most tracks so this will be nice when he visits.

Less than a week to go now. Got an email from Amazon last night saying I'd be getting it on launch day, just hope it comes before I leave the house.

Since we've already had a few people say they aren't going to be on mumble for this because they're using Discord, is it perhaps worth setting up a Discord server for it? I've been poking about with it this evening and it seems easy enough to to do.

Has a Mobile app as well for those who aren't within reach of their PCs or Macs.

My tiny little wheels came today. Nice and sturdy and fairly chunky, can't wait to play this with my youngest son.

The Nintendo website says 'Play your friends in local wireless multiplayer with up to 8 players.' Does this mean everyone has to have their own Switch or can it be 2x Switch with 4 playing on each one?

It's 8-way splitscreen on one Switch. I have no idea, but knowing Nintendo that could actually be true.

You can have up to two people on one Switch in local wireless, similar to when playing online. The only thing is that it seems that the Switch may only be able to link up to two controllers in local wireless, as you can't use a grip + two joycons:

Cheers. I was thinking that as one Switch allows 4 person local multiplayer then two Switches would allow 8, 4 players on each. Which would have been great for meet ups with friends.

This is confusing me

Surely you can play 4 player local??

You can play 4 player local.

But if you're using switches on a LAN (so like download play on a 3DS) you can't use more than 2 joycons per switch.
