Is there currently a GRCade tournament going on where I can just check whether someone is online and join? In other words, not tied to certain days, rules, etc?

The best thing to do is check the friends and rivals list in the online menu. You can see if anyone is online because there will be a chequered flag next to their names.

Oh yeah, let's look at this. It was posted just before we started so it got lost quite easily. I think that we could have Team Mario as the heroes (Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Toad, Peach, Rosalina) and Team Wario as the villains (Wario, Waluigi, Bowser).

The problem with this is if we dont have the numbers to fill the grid up then the ai doesn't join in. I think we tried this early on and we settled for Mario/Wario because it was less likely the ai would also choose them. Also because me and Mocky wanted half the field to be Wario for the lolz. I'd be ok with giving it another go and certainly if someone really wants to be Waluigi on Team Wario then thats fine. Also Bowser if it tempts you back Dragon.

I should be about tonight. Might get distracted by the football though.

That wasn't an exhaustive list. Plus if I mentioned one of the Koopalings, I'd have to mention them all.

Yeah, I know but in order for that to work you have to register for the tournament (type in the code) and I lose track over which one is currently used... Also, are there any rules other than in the Mario vs. Wario tournament you have to play as either Mario or Wario? I don't want to join a tournament and screw things up...

Mondays are solo racers, it's you vs everybody, and either Thursdays/Fridays, you join either Mario or Wario team, and as of the date, you race as any of Marios if on Mario, or Wario as Wario.

The community code should be in header title, and don't worry we're not serious bunch, we just have a good laugh.

I thought that you'd be able to join even if you hadn't already entered the tournament code. You may as well just enter the four main tournament codes as we'll be using one of them:

With regards to team races, we try to keep everyone as Mario or Wario, but we were looking at expanding the character list. We also try to post team lists before the tournament starts so that we can get them as even as possible, in terms of numbers and skill. If in doubt, just join whichever one you like. Mario Kart is serious business, but not that serious
