Super Mario Maker + amiibo!
If you tap a compatible amiibo, like Wii Fit Trainer, Mario can turn into Wii Fit Trainer when he gets a Mystery Mushroom.

And to celebrate Super Mario’s 30th anniversary, we’re releasing an 8-bit amiibo. When you use it, your Mario in-game is going to appear a bit bigger! The amiibo itself is pretty big too, to reflect the effect in the game.

Looking awesome, I really hope there's additional tools to develop with and we can make more complex levels than the ones shown.

But this is a demo for a 2015 game so I'm sure there'll have loads of features in the final release.. we need pipes to warp to places and lots more enemies and tiles. Oh and a 4 player mode would be great if we could link levels to become a "world" then release the world for download on miiverse

I didn't think so, Dan... but Amazon and ShopTo have it available for pre-ordering.

It's Mario. But with infinite levels (Assuming Nintendo have an internet level sharing thing built in).

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I don't see the appeal in a lot of things. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

They said in the treehouse all levels will be sharable via Miiverse so yeah it will have.

So the game is only to make NES style levels right? There's no later sprites/courses included?

Looks fun, but I'm not sure how much of my attention it would hold.

Apparently Nintendo are looking at making "other" graphical styles available too.

I already have plans for this. I'm sure it's been done already, but a bullet bill level like Bopopolis in Tropical Freeze :datass:

I hope it offers all the Mario games and their varying physics. I would be happy making levels with SMB3 and NSMBU as a template. Day one.

All it needs is Super Mario World and I'm happy.

...infact, Super Mario World would be a great one to add because the feather would be hilarious to give to koopas, goombas and Pirahna Plants.

NSMBU is such an ugly style. Please include SNES and Mario 3 sprites.

Biggest news of the weekend and no one is talking about it.

Mario 3 and World pallettes in Mario Maker. Just turned from a nah to instant buy. So happy World is in it.

This has the potential to evolve into a LBP rival, but probably not at launch. Still though, I look forward to seeing lots of insane music levels...

So hyped for Mario World/SMB3 assets. I wonder what they'll look like when you change viewing themes when it comes to the more specialised enemies? :o
