Into this.

Though I wonder how deep the two player will be. Not sure how you could meaningfully get a second player in on this. But it definitely has party game vibes, which is fine but not sure how much fun it will be on single player. I like it though feels like a proper portable game.

Why is Donkey Kong an antagonist? Are these games supposed to be a spiritual successor to those very early donkey Kong games where he'd throw barrels at Mario/jump man?

Yes basically. They're what they did next after Donkey Kong '94 on Game Boy which in itself was loosely based on the original arcade games.

A game demo will be available in the eShop from 16 February. Note: Awaiting confirmation if this is all regions or just the US.

Yeah, I'm very charmed by the aesthetic, love that cutscene. Gameplay looks quite chill, nothing too deep but fun to muck about with. Day one I think.

Miguel, Drummy, Tomous - anyone else getting this close to release?

Not going to try the demo, will wait for the main release although I won’t be getting it day one (Not massively excited for it, one I’ll pick up down the line on sale)

Not close to release but at some stage I hope to pick it up as long as the demo impresses me.

I tried the demo and it seems a bit... simple? Not just in terms of difficulty, either. I'm unsure as to whether there's enough to hold my interest.

Could be a purchase pending a price reduction.

I do enjoy the puzzles, but yeah it is too simple.

My copy arrived yesterday. I'm feeling quite poorly today so I haven't spent a great deal of time with it yet, but I'm looking forward to it - Donkey Kong '94 is one of my favourite Game Boy games and I missed this on GBA.
