I really enjoyed GOTG2. Much more enjoyable than Doctor Strange.
Not sure if it cracks top 3 Marvel movies in no order: Captain America 2, The Avengers and GOTG.

Saw
Guardians Vol 2 last night, considering that the first one is my favourite Marvel film I had expectations in check but I loved it as much as the first. It's not better than Vol 1, but just getting to spend 2 plus hours with these characters again is all I wanted.
Also aside from being really funny, the film looks gorgeous.

Great review
Couldn't agree more with you said. Like you say at times it feels a tad over written but its central core holds it together so well that you can't help but enjoy the ride Gunn takes you along.

Saw this last night at the iMax, I loved it, but by god (little g) they did over do everything. Also I had no idea Kirk was a Gunn, or that he was in the first.
Seriously though if you can see this at an iMax, it was just stunning to watch.

Probably best in the SHIELD topic as I think this is going to be replacing it.
Looks a bit gooseberry fool but at least Entertainment Weekly didn't cover it in wacky fonts

Enjoyed Guardians of the Galaxy 2 an awful lot - probably not quite as good as the original, and a bit schmaltzy at the end, but I'll see it again before it leaves the cinema.

I loved GotG2. If anything I think I liked it just as much if not more than the first.

Yeah I thought the ending scene did go on a bit. The fireworks were a bit much.

Also, did anyone else think they were setting up a spin-off film with Stallone, Ving Rhames and Michelle Yeoh with the last scene in the credits? Seems odd to have big name actors like Rhames and Yeoh in there for a couple of seconds otherwise?

Setting up the sequel I imagine.

At 71yrs old I sure hope marvel aren't planning to build something around sylvester Stallone.
