The following is the current list of Marvel movies I need to catch up on, any advice on whether to hit any in particular first or whether there are any duds I can skip?
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Ant-Man
Doctor Strange
GotG Vol. 2
Skip Dr strange. Very boring.
That's a shame, Strange was the one I was most excited about!
Still, good to hear Ant-Man is worth a go, might give it a punt the week.

I thought it was very good as an introduction to the character and the concepts of magic in the Marvel Universe. Don't skip it.

Don't skip any of them. They are all decent movies.

Yeah - I hope to get through them all as I've yet to watch one that I didn't enjoy, I'm just going to need to take a while as free time is quite sparse at the moment, it's taken me this long just to catch up this far!

I think Dual meant to say Age of Ultron there, dog gooseberry fool film.

They're all worth watching, Dr. Strange and Age of Ultron are the most flawed but still entertaining in their own way and the more invested you are in the MCU the more I think you'll get out of it, particularly when it comes to the next Avengers films.
I'm not convinced that anybody saying either are bad has ever actually seen a genuinely bad film

It's like saying Cars is a bad film, sure compared to most Pixar films it is pretty bad, but compared to some of the OTHER animated films out there, it's practically a golden gooseberry fool...
Cars 2 on the other hand

Doctor Strange is average.

Dr Strange is much better than Age of Ultron, that film just didn't work. But Antman and GotG2 are streets ahead of those 2, probably enjoyed GotG2 the most though (saw it at an iMax and it was a treat)

I'm surprised with the hate Age of Ultron is getting all of a sudden. I thought I was the only one here who didn't like it

It's pretty far from a bad film, but it's also pretty far from being the best of the MCU as well.

It's definitely not a film that benefits from being rewatched, Ioved it at the cinema, saw it twice and really enjoyed it both times. However, I watched it again last week as I've been rewatching some of the Marvel films lately and it definitely doesn't hold up as well as many of the others.
Ultron is so poorly developed as a character and his motivations aren't ever particularly clear. The different scenes often don't flow together that well and some of the dialogue is quite jarring. It feels particularly weak coming from Civil War which is practically an Avengers film but is far stronger in all areas.
Despite that, I still found it entertaining - it's just probably more of a 6/7 out of 10 rather than the 9 I thought it was when I first watched it.

Anyone spot the Far Cry 3 connection to Spider-Man Homecoming?

Thanks to all for the input on my Marvel To Do list - hopefully if I've lowered my expectations for a few of them I may end up enjoying them more.
Going to try and hit Ultron this weekend!

That's excellent. I'd like that for my non-existent games room.
