And Thor uses the Time stone to go back and erase the second film from existence.

First thing they need to do is reboot X-Men, then set up Galactus and Dr Doom as the big bads for the next phase.

Also evil Reed Richards and Cyclops, lots of Cyclops.

Could still play him if he stays masked

Bring Wolverine and Deadpool in from the Fox films(maybe Patrick Stewart), get rid of everything else. I know the X-guys retired but Jackman in particular said he'd come back for a MCU film.

Love deadpool but can't see how they could integrate him into MCU without diluting what makes him work so well

Why would they have to dilute him?! There’s so many jokes they could make about movie rights and things.

Deadpool is about the only character that they could bring over without rebooting (plus his movie had things like the helicarrier in which tie in to the MCU)

I can see Deadpool integrating well. They'd make it work.

FF4 should be fairly easy. Stand alone movie (Do we do another FF origins story though?) where they end up jumping realities into the MCU at the end and move into the old Avengers tower. Doom comes with them.

Silver Surfer and Galactus would fit into Guardians with minimal work.

X-Men will be a harder task, though the "clean slate" (Essentially) that will follow Avengers 4 leaves them some options. What happens there will dictate how and when they can be brought in. I'd not be averse to X-Men being it's own thing for a while though. It's a huge element of Marvel to suddenly introduce so I'd be happy for them to wait a good few years before they bring them in.

Deadpool will work just fine. They can continue to make stand alone deadpool films in the same mould as the current films and if he turns up in a cross over film they just tone down the x rated side and increase the humour side. It won’t matter as he will likely only be in cross overs where he is a bit part character.

It’s a shame if Disney pull it off as will won’t get to see xmen or fantastic four characters cross over with the current crop of MCU stars as they will have moved on before Disney gets to grip with them.

Comcast is out! :toot:
Disney Nearing Finish Line With 21st Century Fox as Comcast Bows Out of Acquisition Hunt

Disney has such an inside track on reaching a $60 billion-plus deal to acquire key entertainment and sports assets from 21st Century Fox that Comcast has formally exited the chase.

Comcast said Monday it was “no longer” looking at Fox’s film and TV studio and other assets as acquisition targets. The cable giant had yet to comment on its interest in Fox prior to Monday’s statement. But with Hollywood abuzz of a Disney-Fox deal coming down within the next few days, Comcast made a point of getting the first word in on its effort.

“When a set of assets like 21st Century Fox’s becomes available, it’s our responsibility to evaluate if there’s a strategic fit that could benefit our company and our shareholders,” Comcast said in a statement. “That’s what we tried to do and we are no longer engaged in the review of those assets. We never got the level of engagement needed to make a definitive offer. We have a terrific company with a strong portfolio of businesses and will continue to focus on driving growth, innovating, creating great content, and providing excellent experiences for our customers.”
