Can he please reprise his role as Adonis Creed, thereby uniting the MCU and the RCU into the one true cinematic universe.

I'll be amazed if Serkis isn't in Black Panther, the cast is looking fantastic. :D

Some Thor: Ragnarok casting news:
Two-time Oscar®-winner Cate Blanchett (“Blue Jasmine,” “Carol, “Cinderella”) joins Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok” as the mysterious and powerful new villain Hela, along with Jeff Goldblum (the upcoming “Independence Day: Resurgence,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “Jurassic Park”) who joins the cast as the eccentric Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson (“Creed,” “Selma”) who will bring the classic hero Valkyrie to life on the big screen, and Karl Urban (“Star Trek” trilogy, “The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King”) who will add his might to the fray as Skurge.

I love that Hela casting. Those casting announcements have immediately increased my interest level in this film.

Will watch for the Goldblum. This might actually be a decent, interesting Thor movie, especially with the Hulk involved.

Decent casting apart from Valkyrie, gooseberry fool actress and completely changes the character. Pointless, may as well be a faceless Asgardian.

Read that RDJ is going to be in the new Spiderman. It's going to be sooo good.

I misread that as RDJ is going to be the new Spiderman. Now that would be interesting casting.

Skurge! They would only cast Skurge for one story!

Karl Urban's gonna be badass as strawberry float if they are doing that story. Fantastic bit of casting going on there with Urban, Blanchett and Goldblum.

Completely changing Norse mythology is annoying, yes. Plus she cant act.

Replacing a prominent African character in Black Panther 'just because' would be the same thing. Bizarre. Been plenty uproar previously because Storm was 'too white'.

Wait, you think the Marvel movies are a completely accurate representation of Norse mythology except for the handful of black characters?

What the strawberry float? The Norse mythology in Marvel is the actual characters of Thor, Odin etc. that exist in that universe. Only seen the Valkyrie actress in Dear White People and she was great in that, haven't seen Creed yet but from what I've read her performance in that almost unanimously praised too.

It wouldn't be the same thing because the race of Valkyrie has strawberry float all to do with her character. Virtually all of the prominent black Marvel characters were created back in the 60s or 70s when comics where white as strawberry float and them being black was one of their defining characteristics.

Nope. Let me guess, it wouldnt be stupid if they made Thor black? It changes their whole background/origin is what I'm getting at.

Anyway, these argument are always daft because it will always happen to be potically correct.

What's daft is getting annoyed by changes to a fictional character that inhabits a fictional universe that is very very loosely based on a myth. Asgardians are not supposed to be Norse people, but aliens that humans mistook for gods. It is therefore completely believable (as believable as a comic book movie can be) that the people of Asgard will be racially diverse and not just a bunch of white people.
