Hah my discovery about the Rogue One music, has lead to a few interesting conversations today, and one of my friends pointed me at this:
https://vimeo.com/181873015

Really amazing look into why the MCU (and modern films in general) have utterly forgettable music scoring (no GotG using loads of classic songs does not count)

I think the Avengers tune is quite memorable, probably the most of all the Marvel films.

I watched that some time ago. It's interesting that nobody can hum a tune, but the music is recognisable when you hear it. I'm not sure that's really a problem with modern day cinema though, I think you'd have a similar problem if you asked people to whistle songs from older movies

It would be cool though if they did bring back old themes (like Caps 1st movie) in future movies, even if it's hidden away in the back of a new piece of music

The humming a tune bit is deliberately unfair.
Star Wars is a well established juggernaut spanning 7 films so far as well as countless other forms of media which features the soundtrack, and the tune they hum always starts the film.
James Bond is the same but with more films and less other media. Tune also starts the movie.
Harry Potter is different but it's still 8/9 films all featuring the same tune as a major part (and they only had one person humming that).

The MCU has 14 films but it includes separate entities featuring their own music and themes only running to 3 films at a max at the moment.

Just re-watched Captain America: The First Avenger. I think Banjo posted a while back proclaiming it the best of the three and on reflection, I can't disagree with him. Great supporting cast(Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, Dominic Cooper, Hugo Weaving, Toby Jones and Hayley Atwell). Even Neal McDonough and Sebastian Stan, and a blink-and-you'll-miss-it Natalie Dormer cameo), well paced, really good tone and visually fantastic period work from Joe Johnston(I'm a bit biased - I love The Rocketeer). It's the only Marvel film that gives me any significant feels too, when Rogers is going into the ice but still trying to stay upbeat on the radio, and then again when he finds out what happened.

Really, genuinely great and fun film.

Nah, it's a dull film. 2, 3, 1 is the correct order.

I'm staying out of this one.

But it's 3,2,1

Tying into what Cora mentions regarding First Avenger, saw this video a few weeks back that I thought was pretty interesting. Puts into words (and some great detail) what I've found lacking in a lot of Marvel's films, and is something that Firt Avenger doesn't suffer from in my opinion.

I prefer the first too, it's the best origin story in the MCU. I wish we got another WW2 movie before they had to put him on ice and bring him in to The Avengers

And Cody Rhodes is linked to playing Black Bolt in Inhumans. Apparently he is in Arrow :dread:

He was in one episode of Arrow because Stephen Amell likes WWE.

I've always been 2, 3, 1 but watching that the other night kinda changed my mind temporarily. I think I'd maybe settle on 2, 1, 3 in the light of day. The thing that really stops the third one in particular from standing out is that you need to be familiar with other Marvel films to understand what's going on with a lot of the characters. You can just about pick up on Winter Soldier as a standalone film but that's not possible with Civil War.

With that said, I thought Civil War was fantastic. Cap is a rare superhero trilogy that doesn't have a gooseberry fool film in there(IMO, of course).
