Inhumans looks horrendous yeah.

Glad the Spider-Man reviews are positive - looking forward to it now. They had to make it a good one after the Amazing films, which were anything but.

I preferred the amazing ones to the original trilogy because I thought McGuire was a gooseberry fool Peter.

Wow spiderman is brilliant. Best one yet. Excellent.

The humour was perfect and the attention to all the MCU events was perfect. Some great cameos too.

Has anyone else been to watch it yet?

Seen it and enjoyed it. It was very well made and surprisingly funny too. Sets things up nicely for part 2.

Wish my image sig would work

I saw it the other day too. It's pretty good (really wish they'd give the Audi product placement a rest, though :dread: Having the little school contest sponsored by Audi is one thing, but Spider-Man hijacking a car to drive it to the villain's lair while his nerd buddy looks up how to turn the headlights on online? STOP)

Didn't really get the soundtrack, too. I get they're taking inspiration from a lot of the John Hughes films (not really with any kind of subtlety, either :shifty: ), but considering Peter Parker's like, 14, I'm not sure the 80s soundtrack really worked.

The Liz's dad reveal and the subsequent chat in the car was fantastic, though. Was a bit worried they were going to go for the Green Goblin style "spider-man KILLED MY FATHER and now I HATE HIM" thing, so I'm glad they left with a kind of... mutual respect.

Blitzkreig Bop was an absolute master stroke. Spider-man is a bit 'punk'.

Saw Spidey last night and ruddy loved it. That scene in the car before the dance was so frighteningly tense, I was on the edge of my seat and it was an incredible scene. Weird that some people in the cinema laughed at parts of it though, add is it was a comedy scene, because I didn't see anything funny about it.

Was also very pleasantly surprised to see 2 of my childhood favourite villains make appearances.

Not being a Spider-Man fan... it's my least favourite MCU movie, but still pretty good overall. I didn't really like the forced MCU references during nearly every scene. Still it's the best Spider-Man movie there's ever been so if you like Spider-Man then you'll enjoy this one.

Michael Keaton was the best thing in it for sure. As others have said, that car talk scene :dread:. And the Cap videos .

When I went to see it, the room was mostly full of grown men. Quite funny when we were all watching a teen movie

Probably my favourite part of the whole movie :slol:

As soon as he said "patience" I knew it was going to be a joke at the audiences expense

I saw it online so don't feel the need to wait in the cinema for Captain America to laugh at my expense before I leave the cinema

Yeh  all the teachers didn't seem to be there to teach at all and were very apathetic... relatable

I actually thought that scene may have been set before Civil War until the gym teacher said that line.

I think Chris Evans has to have had the most movie appearances? In fact I think he has been in an MCU movie every year since his First Avenger movie in 2011

I should probably do the same in the future. I missed them on one movie though and they weren't online to watch :x

I think he and Downey Jr have both made seven appearances. Might be mistaken though

They're in both Avengers films, Cap Civil War and Spidey. Then they're both in their first two solo movies obviously and Cap also appeared in Thor 2.

Cap was in the credit scene for Ant-Man but it was a scene shot for (and in) Civil War. Not sure if it should count

I wouldn't count Ant-Man either for that reason, but he was in Avengers that year so his streak continues. I'm going to be sad when he hangs up his spandex, he is easily my favourite character :(

Marvel's 'New Warriors' Sets Its Cast — Including Squirrel Girl (Exclusive)
Image

Three months after being picked up straight to series by Freeform, Marvel's New Warriors has found its cast.

Milana Vayntrub (This Is Us) has landed the breakout role of Squirrel Girl, while Baby Daddy grad Derek Theler will stay in business with Freeform after landing the role of Mister Immortal in Marvel's first live-action scripted comedy.

The duo lead the ensemble cast in the 10-episode series about six young people learning to cope with their abilities in a world where bad guys can be as terrifying as bad dates. Joining Vayntrub and Theler are Jeremy Tardy as Night Thrasher, Calum Worthy as Speedball, Matthew Moy as Microbe and Kate Comer as Debrii.

"I am thrilled beyond belief to be working with this incredible group of actors. They are funny, sincere, eager, charming and perfectly embody these characters. It'll be a blast and an honor to create this show with each of them," said showrunner — and longtime Squirrel Girl superfan — Kevin Biegel (Enlisted).

Picked up straight to series in April, New Warriors hails from Marvel Television and ABC Studios' cable arm ABC Signature. Marvel head of TV Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory executive produce alongside Biegel.

"We're so lucky to have assembled such a diverse and incredibly talented cast," Loeb said. "We can't wait for the fans to see what's in store when we unleash these iconic characters into the world!"

If you're counting Evans' cameo in Thor: The Dark World you should really count Downey's cameo at the end of The Incredible Hulk to give him the edge at 8-7. Wouldn't count the post-credits scene in Ant-Man because it's footage from Civil War.

I don't think you can count credit scenes at all because they're not part of the main movie but the cameo in Thor counts though because it was part of the movies story :shifty:

so that means my boy's at 7-7

8-7
