It’s is insanely good looking at the ability. I played one game where I used cable to steal the opponents version and quinjet to reduce its cost. Landed perfectly. No idea what I destroyed as they were never revealed but a rage quit followed!

Never even realised you could save up spotlight caches to get better chance of a specific card

Played this today for the first time I a while and the very first place on the left revealed itself to destroy both mine and my enemies decks after taking a few cards. WTF?

That location works well in my deck of stealing / drawing random cards. You can usually out play your opponent who runs out of cards

Yeah, pretty much guarantees a turn 6 victory for a lane if you have priority. Just used it after a Galactus and I presume my opponent thought they could use Help to bring back a discarded Infinaut. No such luck

It's a fun card. Doesn't seem too OP either. You have to set up a win condition (by blocking off lanes) it make a wild guess.

I've been using it in a deck with Green Goblin, Storm and Titania to block off lanes and basically force people to play into the Alioth lane.

Also means I can use Gamora without remorse on turn 5 now and then just play Alioth there too to delete the Shang before it can do anything.

Been thinking about Conquest mode and I think they should maybe limit the number of retreats a player can use. It's bloody infuriating when they quit the second you take a mid-game lead and you have to eke them down one bar at a time - especially on the first tier!

I know it's not the most popular game mode in here but I really like it. It's a bit like a test match series to the normal mode's T20. You find out a bit more about your opponent each round and what their tactics are and how to beat them. I played someone using High Evo and Professor X - sometimes I managed to close their lane just after they'd played Wong and sometimes they managed to sneak in Black Panther and completely screw me. They also had Luke Cage which completely negated all my drain cards and Abomination, but one game I managed to utilise his special ability.

The tension of a final game when you're both down to two bars is crazy

Think Shadow King is my new favourite card. So many opponent snaps beaten by it

The power creep in this game is real. More and more it feels march up dependent than decision dependent.

I don't get much joy from winning when it's just because I had Luke cage or shadow king or something

I have a code for a promo in this game from Discord Nitro. PM me if interested.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Right, so Blob is basically Knull but without having to actually engineer any destruction of cards. Top work everyone...

Not sure if a glitch but he has both on reveal and an ongoing ability. I used Sauron thinking it would only remove his “can’t be moved” ongoing. Well it also killed his power absorb ability too!

I understand he is powerful but you have to engineer a lot of power staying in your deck to round 6. Knull is far more devastating if played well.

If filling your deck with a load of high power cards that you know you don't need to play is engineering maybe. Seems like another stupidly OP card to me. And I've just gone back to my drain deck and they've nerfed Luke Cage, because he was really dominating the meta and needed to be stopped

I don't normally do the whole wanky Ms Marvel spamming at the end of a game, favouring instead a respectful fist bump. But I indulged myself in a bit of cheekiness when some geezer just played Deadpool - Nova - Wolverine - Venom on a location (try and guess his other cards, go on, have a go  ) . Unfortunately for him I'd dropped a High Evo'd Thing and Cyclops which took all his destroying cards into negative figures. He conceded an entire Conquest match after four turns, the cheap twat

If you don't like the blob, lockdown a lane with storm and give up priority or use Goose/Cosmo. I roll my eyes every time I see it played at the moment because it's so frequent but it has plenty of counters.

I feel like the professor X nerf was a bit harsh but he's literally being used in 30% of games and it's not a fun card to play against.

It bugs me the lack of imagination people have in this game, so many people just watch streamers and copy them rather than making their own decks. That's basically why the Prof X nerf happened, because my thanos/blob deck doesn't use him and still has a super high win rate.

I don't watch any streamers or look at any tactics websites. I want to have fun working out decks for myself.

I fell upon quite an effective High Evo strategy using Cyclops/Prof X/Jeff. It's effective but there's also a fair amount of risk involved - if someone drops Devil Dinosaur on T5 I am screwed in that lane.

But Deadpool/X23/Wolverine/Deathlok/Venom/Sabertooth/Carnage/Killmonger/Death/Knull is basically an entire deck of cards which have not changed since their launches which I can rattle off in my head because EVERY CHEAP strawberry floater USES IT!

I hate destroy as well. It's super snowbally, you either draw cards in the right order and end up with 60 power or something stupid by playing Knull, Death and Deadpool on the last turn.

Or you don't and the other person has Cosmo/armour and you just retreat on turn 2/3.

I don't think it's over powered but I don't like how it plays, and if you draw X-23 early things get really silly. She needs to be a 1/1 or a 1/0. She's bonkers for a 1 drop right now.

It's such a paint by numbers archetype as well. You know exactly what the other person is going to do, it's just a matter of if you have the right cards to counter it. Same as Living tribunal iron man.
