I loved Ragnorok. Only films I've not seen now are Civil War and Black Panther.

Saw this today, thought it was great. Loved Wakanda as a location and found all the main cast really likeable. Brilliant milestone for cinema too.

Just out from this. Solid and enjoyable but had a couple of things I thought could have been better. Second half was pretty predictable I felt and the action scenes were a little lacking.

Great characters though and glad to see it. Looking forward to a sequel.

Wouldn't say either post-credit scene were that great. First one should have been before the credits and the second one didn't really show or tease anything new.

7/10 really enjoyed this, thought Serkis and Jordan were the best Marvel Villans by a mile. Hope they are resurrected somehow in the future.

The whole cinema laughed at the part where Serkis shoots the car and one of the women are sliding down the road on the drivers seat holding the steering wheel

Only things I didn't like were; African Drums for Black Panther (which is fine) but 'Gangsta' Theme for Killmonger  what is this? 8 Mile.

The CGI battle falling to the train line was horrific & Martin Freeman; his accent was terrible and character was totally pointless.

Yeah. Very superfluous. He’s the Tolkien White Male.

I can sort of forgive Martin Freeman/Ross feeling a bit pointless just because there were a couple of great jokes out of it. 'We're vegetarians' was hilarious.

Regarding Killmonger, I agree they did a great job with him. One of MCUs best villains. He dies in the comics and gets revived, so I could hopefully see them working that into the movies to have him back.

Really enjoyed this. Ultimately it's the usual origins story of good guy vs bad version of good guy with a slight twist on the formula. Jordan was really good, great screen presence and I hope we see him again somehow. Slight gripe was that some of the CGI seemed a bit ropey, some definite Toby McGuire Spiderman vibes about it.

I'm still a bit unsure about Black Panthers when he's not in the suit; is he supposed to be a sort of James Bond spy type character?

Just posting to push this above the MCU thread.

I haven't seen the film.

I hear it's good.

Thought it was awesome. Killmonger was a great villain. Loved the whole Martin Luther King v Malcom X vibe/approach they had going on between Black Panther and him.

I saw this last night, decent film overall with the villains being one of the better parts although I personally didn't think it was as good as the reviews were making out which seemed to be generally positive throughout.

Saw this over the weekend and I think its great, better than Ragnarok for me, possibly because it felt fresher and very different to other MCU movies. Jordan did a great job as the big bad and the whole thing managed to be an origin story while not feeling like one.

Saw it last night, loved it. Shuri stole every scene, Okoye was great too (actually preferred her fight scenes to T'Challa's). M'Baku was brilliant as well. I think my flatmates are going to get very tired of me quoting his "I'll feed you to my children" line.
Kilmonger and Klau are two of the best villains we've had in the MCU, Kilmonger for his motivations and his killer final line, Klau just because Serkis absolutely nails the psychotic vibe (strawberry floating loved it when he was just sat there singing in the interrogation room).

and they wasted both villains. Ok they didn’t technically kill Klaw on screen but it seemed
Pretty final. Same for Killmonger. Such a shame as those two were amoung the best villains in the MCU

in fairness I don't think they could have avoided it without compromising Kilmonger's character. He could have brought Klau in alive, but that wouldn't fit his established trait of "kill anyone who gets in the way", and once he'd put on the Panther suit there wasn't really any way of stopping him without fatally wounding him; choosing death over imprisonment was then consistent with his focus on the legacy of slavery and colonisation. It's definitely a shame they've both been killed off, but not doing so would have damaged Kilmonger's character in the bigger picture.

Just watched it. Wasn't enthused by the story but the film was decent enough. Klau and Killmonger were great and Shuri was brilliant. Ending was a bit gooseberry fool with Rhino dude
Was great seeing a film with a majority black cast and fearless warrior women as well.
End credits were meh

Infinity War next :datass:
