Yeah, when you don't know it's going to happen it really has a kick to it. Really well done.

Thought killing him off was a really dumb move. He could have been a Coulson-type who appeared in all five Netflix shows (especially Jessica Jones) and been the common link. That was probably the only main complaint I had about this series.

I was pretty torn on it. On the one hand, it's good that nobody is safe from being killed off, but... yeah, he was a great character that could have worked across a number of different series. I was pretty shocked by it, and was waiting for them to pull some kind of 'oh he's not really dead' thing, even into the opening moments of the funeral at the start of the next episode.

Regardless, I know what his powers/weaknesses are, I'm trying to explain them to a layman. He's blind, but he's not really blind, if you gather my meaning. It's not a hindrance to his movement.

As a Superhero, Daredevil really is a bit gooseberry fool.
His superpower is "being a blind man who can see".

It's impressive that marvel and Netflix have made this actually work, but a lot of that is down to Kingpin.

Not really his superpower. All his other senses are heightened to super human levels of accuracy and sensitivity, far more than just seeing with them.

That is actually really interesting.

I forgot about that. Really good use of it there. Also means he can probably taste peoples arses just by being in the room with them.

gooseberry fool, no wonder he wants to beat the strawberry float out of people. Dude is probably mad pissed all the time.

There is a similar reference in one of the later episodes, where Matt works out what Foggy has eaten recently using his augmented senses.

The Episode when Foggy finds out Matt is the Daredevil

Anyway, watched the last three episodes back to back last night and it was superb overall. I think all the roles were really well cast and I loved D'Onofrio's performance. I was a little surprised that we didn't see more of Rosario Dawson though considering that she is probably the biggest 'name' in the cast... not a criticism, just an observation.

Just finished the show and overall I loved it but now I've got to wait until god knows when for season 2. :(

Misc thought for the entire season-

- Vincent D'Onofrio never clicked with me as the Kingpin, there was something off about his performance. I'm not sure what exactly, I don't know if it was the perpetually confused expression or the gruff voice he was doing but I wasn't convinced. Wesley was a more convincing Kingpin and I was disappointed when he got killed off. Owsley meh.
-Charlie Cox was great and sold Matt Murdock almost immediately. Long may he continue in the role.
- The guy who played Melvin was perfect too despite what little time he got on screen, I'd like to see more from him.
- I still don't know why they killed off Ulrich. Short-term plot twist but it seems a mistake in the long run. Ulrich is one of my favourite recurring characters in Marvel and now we'll never see any Parker/Jameson/Ulrich banter.
- Nowhere near enough red suit action. :(

In 2016 as well YES!!!!!!

I wonder if this is just going to be the case for Daredevil, because there is soooo much material for it to "mine", or if every series has a "back up" potential 2nd season before Defenders.

Hyped the next season is in 2016, the way some of you guys were talking it sounded like it would be 2018. Worried the show runner is changing, but they're not bringing in someone completely new so I'm staying optimistic, season 1 wasn't made by one person and Marvel have been on a roll for years now. I have faith.

Still confident it'll be great without DeKnight, but his departure is a bit odd

Very happy to hear S2 is coming next year.

I finished a few days ago and loved it pretty much the whole way through. My only minor complaints: Not enough Rosario Dawson. The finale was a little predictable. The final shot was outrageously cheesy.

Immensely looking forward to Jessica Jones now.

So happy that they confirmed another season. I have no idea how much one person influences things, so not really sure how to feel about the guy at the top not coming back, but as long as they keep a good chunk of the people that worked on Season 1, then it should work out well.

I guess he just had other plans. I mean they'd planned out all these new series over the next couple of years, so he probably agreed to do other projects thinking there wasn't going to be a season 2 anytime soon.

Just read that he has responded on twitter saying he already had Movie work scheduled so llooks like he wasn't going to be doing season 2 if it was renewed anyway.

Something that was mentioned on the Gamers With Jobs podcast, Daredevil has an extra audio channel that describes the action for the visually impaired as well as the dialogue. Apologies if its been posted before but it's pretty awesome.

Wait... this is coming before Jessica Jones? That's kind of crazy since they're shooting the JJ stuff now.

Edit: Looks like Den of Geek might have just got it wrong as nobody else is saying it's coming before Jessica Jones.

JJ hasn't got a date other than they're aiming for the end of 2015. They said the Netflix shows will be released when they're ready, so it's possible for JJ to come out afterwards if post work takes longer than anticipated.

DeKnight outlined Season 2 already so things shouldn't be terribly different hopefully
