Just wait till you get to the later episodes. Feels like he's slowly morphing into Stephen Amell

Just started episode. Is the Ward here any relation to the Ward in Agents of SHIELD or are they both just unrelated jackasses?

EDIT: Wait, Ward is his first name :fp:

Not sure why Danny has a total brain melt when he actually gets up to Ward's office. Why not say something to try and convince the two of them that it's actually him not some random hobo? "Guys it's really me" obviously isn't going to work :fp: imbecile.

Is he supposed to come off as the biggest creep because it's very much betrayed that way

Watching episode 8 - was not expecting the drunk bloke in China to have hints of a Mancunian accent in about him.

Start of episode 10 - everyone in Bakuto's dojo/monastery/school is wearing red or a variation on the colour, so he's clearly part of The Hand. Lovely.

Apparently he was originally auditioning for Danny Rand: http://www.vulture.com/2017/03/lewis-ta ... rview.html

Had he got the job would he have stuck to one accent? I thought he was supposed to be from Yorkshire.

I'm enjoying it for the most part. Not sure on where it fits quality wise compared to the others. Maybe on par with Jessica Jones.

Currently on episode 10. I absolutely detested Ward in the first 2 or 3 episodes now he's my favorite character 8-)

Bullshit on this being 36%. What were the TV critics/reviews thinking? Haven't seen something so inaccurately reviewed since Driv3rGate.

Finished the whole series and enjoyed it all.

Ending:

Joy's desire for revenge seems a bit far-fetched.

I think it's more consistently paced and enjoyable than the other Netflix Marvel shows which tend to feel a little bit dragged on to fit into 13 episodes.

Not sure where I'd rank all 4 but I think I was underwhelmed by Daredevil because I had such high hopes (whilst season 2 was far better) whilst because this got slated so much, I went in with such low expectations and ended up enjoying it hugely.

Thought I should catch up on this ready for Defenders

Starting episode 4 and it's just so lacklustre. Danny runs around mansplaining everything to everyone but with no real purpose or direction (we don't know why he's back and he's not done anything heroic etc) - just condescending to people.

Joy, Ward, Cooleen and even Harold have more interesting arcs than him so far:

It's gone down to 17% now.

Lol wat, never cared what tv critics say, I reserve that for sitting on my ass for 2+ hours and potentially paying for the proved leg. I've enjoyed this and it seems about as good as JJ but daredevil is my favourite. I knew nothing about any of these characters.

I couldn't make it through, the worst part about it is how boring it is.

I've watched 3 episodes in a row so it must be doing something right.

There's enough going on with different character arcs and I like the whole misplaced in corporate America vibe, reminds me of batman begins but he's a chump. I like the idea of a badass chump, even if it's a little thin on how that makes any sense. Trying to figure out whether The Hand does do anything good (there's a swing point) is interesting contrasted with the perspective from Daredevil.

It suffers the same problem all of them suffer, there are too many episodes for the story they want to tell, 8 or 10 episodes and they would all be much better. This was the worst of the bunch, but not by as much as people make out, that said I am surprised it got a second season ahead of Jessica Jones, or Luke Cage.

I'd agree with others that it's the worst of the Netflix shows, but it was still solid entertainment overall.

If you rate it just on the Danny Rand thread then it's pretty poor, but much more than any of the other shows Iron Fist is about how the various characters play out together.

One of the main let downs for me was the poor fight choreography which deserved to be a strong point given the martial arts focus of the central character. Daredevil had much better fight sequences.

Iron Fist was the worst of the 4, but it was decent enough to hold my attention.

Up to episode 11 in prep for Defenders.

Danny's just the worst. And not in a good way. He's po faced, mansplaining and condescending as he goes.

Some episodes seem to call him on this, others present him entirely straight faced. It's an inconsistency that indicates poor show running (they've fired them for season 2 I think). Claire's presence was breath of fresh air with energy and sense of fun. RD has done some serious heavy lifting.

I'm not sure if it's actor/writing/direction or a combination - but it just doesn't work. Veers from naivity to "So wise everyone should listen" without any structure or style. (Jack Sparrow calling him on his tantrum's during the fight was spot on target, but I'm not sure the show intended it to be)

It doesn't even have flaire as you add in completely lack luster fights (Jones said he saw Choreography 15 minutes before?!?!)

We're finally 11 episodes in starting to get hints of Danny's motivations and arc, but in general pretty much every other character is better written, acted and has a more compelling storyline (Joy has floundered a bit)

We also might finally be getting a decent central antagonist. (Gao/Harold haven't quite filled this role, and 'The Hand' is too nebulous). Every other series had great central villians as a counter point to the heroes - and Iron Fist has suffered for it's lack. (So many poor choices)

Still..only 2.5 hours to go by Friday
