Just finished it. Thought it was overall really good, but not as good as Daredevil. Pisses all over Agents of Shield, obviously. Barely any tie ins with Daredevil other than Claire Temple in the final episode but there's plenty of nice little easter eggs for other Marvel stuff.

Finished the season.

I personally preferred it to Daredevil.

I've never seen Tennant in any acting roles before but I thought he was great. I always assumed anyone in Dr Who is probably a bit gooseberry fool because Dr Who is so unbelievably gooseberry fool.

Watched the first 2 episodes last night, can't say they were that good, certainly not as good as what everyone else thought. Didn't help that I was completely knackered but I'll carry on with it. Not as good as Daredevil yet.

1x02- I'm going to choose to believe that the name of the dialysis machine was an intentional Fantastic Four reference. Mads Mikkelsen as Doctor Doom yeah. 8-)

Power Man and Jewel team-up. :datass:

Wait I think I missed that, what was it.

On episode 3 now. Killgrave is a piece of work.

The start of episode 8 :slol:

"That's Hank. Say "hi", Hank"
"Hi Hank."

Is Kilgrave's motive really just
"Oh I love you Jess why won't you love me when all I do is threaten everyone around you and murderise people come on I'm a nice guy be reasonable" ? :shifty:

Finished. It was good but also a bit disappointing.

They wasted a lot of potential with the Killgrave character. I was expecting him to be a bit more fun and creative.
The show was also far too tame. In the comics when he is in a noisy restaurant he tells everyone in the room to stop breathing so that he can eat in peace, here in a similar scene he just says 'be quiet'. There were a few interesting moments though. They also completely avoided a lot of the sexual stuff, and completely re-wrote the Jessica and Killgrave history without even hardly digging into it. Just a lot of interesting stuff from the comics was dropped or re-written to make a more mainstream show.

I did still enjoy it, and probably preferred it to Daredevil, but it could have been so much more. Towards the end I thought they must be saving lots of interesting Killgrave stuff for season 2 but I guess not.

Baxter-Haemo. The FF are based in the Baxter building.

Just finished episode 6.

Killgrave is basically a stalker with superpowers then?

Going to pace myself with this now as I binged on Daredevil and regretted it.

Just hitting episode 3. She looks a bit like Michael Jackson, which is a little freaky during the sex scenes.

God damn it, you've ruined this show (and Krysten Ritter) for me now.

Can't unsee it.

Eh? Don't see any resemblance.

Unless you're talking about a completely different Michael Jackson?

There's a few scenes where she's wearing sunglasses and has a vague resemblance to MJ (after he went fully 'white' and had the horrific nose job), it's only at certain camera angles but once you see it you'll gooseberry fool bricks.

Yeah, it's pretty weird. In ep 6 where he's wearing that baseball cap he looks just like Cap in Winter Soldier.

Three episodes in and Tennant looks to be the best thing about the show - as good as the protagonists have been in the Netflix TV shows, The Purple Man and Kingpin have been two of the best villains Marvel have put out in the cinematic and TV universes.
