Wednesdays in the US. Thursdays on Fox UK at 9pm. Creator/executive producer is Noah Hawley who created the Fargo TV Show. Renewed for Season 2 which returns 3rd April (US)/17th April (UK).

It’s a delight, existing so far outside the mold of recent superhero adaptations in the 2010s that it couldn’t see the mold even with telescopic vision. It’s a comic book show likely to be as appealing to people who have no interest in comic books as to those who can name David’s famous relative without Googling, if not more, and it’s easily the most exciting new series this young year in TV has offered so far.

Hawley's decision to disorient viewers by making David's unsettling and confusing mental landscape the visual launching point for this world is strategically smart--if challenging--and the skillful camera work has a panache that stamps the early episodes. Stylistically, there's nothing quite like Legion's smart take on mutant powers, which keeps the series more dramatic and less light or flippantly Marvel-esque.

Comic-book fans might be eager for Legion to hurry up and get to “the good stuff,” connecting David to the X-Men universe they know and love. But I’m not in any hurry. Speaking as someone with next-to-zero knowledge of comic books, this is the first superhero show I’ll be adding to my DVR’s season-pass list. Legion has created a compelling world that firmly stands on its own… and I look forward to Hawley and the cast dazzling me even more in the weeks to come.

Assumed it was something to do Legion of Doom. Remembered that is DC. Watched trailers. Still interested.

Visual style is pretty quirky. I enjoy this minor Superhero gets TV show trend.

I know nothing about the character or what he can do but I'm definitely watching this.

I've been looking forward to this. Glad to see it getting some positive reviews and reactions.

Swear I heard it was ropey a while back.

Definitely in.

First episode is superb, really well written and shot. I like how everything is deliberately confusing and disjointed, I can't even tell which decade its set in (I'm thinking late 70's/early 80's but some bits seem more current or older).

Can't wait until next weeks episode.

I really hope that the Yellow Eyed thing really is something as silly as Mojo or Shadow King

Anyone watching this here still? 3rd episode was great, turning more and more into a horror movie.

Yeah I'm still watching it and thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Still can't figure out which decade its set in though, I'm starting to think its a bit like Archer and is an alternate reality based on a mix of different decades.

Also, is there a reason why the 'real' Lenny looks different to the version of her trapped in Davids mind?

I get the accent thing but bored? I don't even know how you can begin to call it boring.
