As people are now pre-loading and getting access to the game proper, could we contain any spoilerific discussion in here please?

Please, as people will still be picking it up and playing through at different times/speeds, could we still spoiler stuff in here? That way everyone can talk to people who are at similar places in the game without spoiling it for those further behind.

We all know this GOTY material so let's all be considerate and makes sure everyone gets the most out of this epic slice of awesome.

:D

I can't believe it when it turned out Joker was a re-engineered Reaper.

And then when Liara shoots an indoctrinated Shep after about 8 hours and you play her for the rest of the game.

Pretty shocking to find out what the Quarians look like. Bioware must be catering to the furrie fetishists. Sort of glad I didn't sex Tali now.

Right actual story spoilers/discussion.

The reviews weren't kidding when they said how ridiculous the amount of side missions you get from the citadel are. It's absurd. So many, that don't even show up properly on the galaxy map to help you :x Also just lost like 3 of them because I couldn't find the bloody planets because every time i so much as scan once I get reaper swarmed. So i took a break from them and decided to some story stuff. Did the krogan homeworld stuff, then got summonded to the citadel because something is up with Udina. But no the citadel is attacked and now like 5 side missions have disappeared :x i hate it when games do that to you with no warning whatsoever. And now i've left the citadel again with about 20 more new ones.

Another noticeable thing, the writing/emotional moments. strawberry float off dream sequences about a strawberry floating dead child who ran off like the moron he is and deserved to die. You can tell the writer has changed because there are so many cheesy as strawberry float lines now.

And it's so annoying I don't have MY shepherd. Like the entire Krogan homeworld would play out totally different with Wrex and so would the Udina thing if say I got rid of the council or put Anderson in charge. So annoying that they did do a comic for you to pick things like they did with me2 on ps3.

I know that sounds abit like a rant, I'm still pissed off about the whole import character xbox 360 bug. And I am enjoying it massively, just less than if I was playing with MY shepherd.

4ch*n has begun tearing this a new one in earnest (and despite bio propaganda, very little of it seems to have to do with the amount of gay).

End of Tuchanka Spoilers

strawberry floating Hell.

I told Mordin about the sabotage. Wrex and Eve have good ideals, and the ruins showed Krogen could be better.
Wreav's actions worried me but he's dead :)
Not sure how I'm going to explain it to the Salarians...but I'm fighting to save races, not end them
Mordin died...fixing the problem he created with a clean feeling, a smile and a song... :(

Immediately reloaded.
Tried to delay Mordin, but he wasn't having it. He quickly worked out what the Salarians had done. He'd always been smart.
Angry words were exchanged...I begged him to stop...and he dared me to stop him.
He walked off to finish the job...and Shep took the shot as the elevator doors shut, then threw his pistol away in disgust
Mordin died...he bled out as he desperately tried to drag himself across the floor to the console to save the Krogans, begging for more time

I need a lie down after that

strawberry float those two are brutal choices. On mine I chose:
To cure the genophage, pissing off the salarians (but later on it looks like I might have won them back) but on mine Eve died. How did Wreav die for you? Did you import a save?

Mordin. :(

Eve died? When? Mordin said she was near death, but he/Maelon's research saved her. She's rallying Krogens for the War Effort.

Wreav and Wrex were both driving trucks after the fighter attack failed - Wreav got got by Kralos there as I got picked up by Wrex to go to the hammers

On mine I couldn't import my save, so Wreav is the leader of the krogans as it assumes you couldn't stop Wrex on Virmire and had to kill him. So Wreav is obsessed with Eve, saying how he's going to lead the krogans into a new war with her once this is all over. That failed fighter attack happened, crashed into a random truck and Wreav and Eve escaped. Then Kralos took out like Wreav's no.2 called like Janos or something so I'm guessing that's where it changed for me and you. Eve and Mordin went upto the Shroud, I did the hammers. Got back, Mordin said Eve had died because of her wounds because the cure had also weakened her immune system so i'm guessing without Wrex for some reason she can't live? Maybe if you don't import the Mordin's loyalty mission from me2 is why Eve dies? And then Mordin went up the elevator and sacrificed himself :(

Ah yes - you need the data from Mordin's Loyalty for her to live I'm guessing then.

And yeah Wrex/Wreav become Wreav/Janos for you...

In "your world" I think I'd have strawberry floated them other. Wreav is crazy!

I was tempted to because of Wreav but I didn't want to betray Mordin, he's my 2nd fav character in the series. And also, as good as the salarian scientists are for helping build the crucible, I much rather have Krogans even if in the future they might be dangerous. But won't really matter for this game so I went with Krogans, just in case somehow Wreav found out if I did lie to him about the Shroud being broken.

Also won't spoil anymore for you, but it looks like on mine I might have swung back into favour with the salarians, so hopefully it all works out as technically I chose the paragon way for my decision on the genophage. If it had been Wrex then there would have been no doubt I would have cured the genophage.

Didn't get Thane there either because I didn't import. Getting royally shafted by not importing by the sounds of it.

To HM

You meet Thane on the Citadel earlier - but he's teaching classes as his diseases is too advance, he'll be dead soon.

When the Coup comes you get intel from him and he's on comms a fair bit - and then he stops Kai Leng from killing the Salarian councilor (what happens if he's not there?)

They melee fight for a bit - and he stabs Thane, and you give chase.

You meet Thane in the hospital later, but it's too late...he and his son say a prayer about a lost warrior needing forgiveness for all the death he's caused, and been taking into the arms of the goddess in Paradise. Thane dies as his son completes it...

Shep asks why Thane needed the prayer - his last moments where that of a hero? The son tells you the prayer was for you

Yeah - you really missed out. It's a great scene

If you don't import, he's just not there at all. Duno if he died from his disease or on the collectors base (he isn't on the list of dead memorial on the normandy so far as I can tell. If he isn't there Leng kills the Salarian councilor and then edits the footage for Udina to make it look like you did but you can persuade Ash to trust you and she kills Udina (you can for renegade points thought weirdly, don't see why it's renegade). But on the plus side the salarian councilor's death and coup on the citadel seems to have scared the Salarians into helping you according to a convo you have with Hackett after. The salarian people are splitting from the politicians in supporting you, but probably not as much as if you sided with them on the genophage or if you stopped the councilor getting killed.

I'm gona try and convert my 360 save to my pc and start again, I'm missing out on so many good scenes by the sounds of it.

Can you not just download a save with "your" decisions? I'm sure there must be places where you can do that.
