I've finished it also. I really didn't have too much of an issue with the ending.

I didn't say he couldn't judge it anyway, I just find it funny that he's complaining about something he paid no money whatsoever for.

You have a very odd sense of humour. But I must admit I'm amazed it took this long for someone to bring it up. And I like to think I haven't just complained...

Made a bit more progress, lost another ex crew member. Do Bioware have something against my Mass Effect 2 team? How dare they survive etc etc.

Zaeed. A bit confused by this one, so it sounded as if he was holding the Volus hostage, but then I open the door and he is bleeding to death? Weird. I'm guessing as he wasn't loyal in ME2 he had to die. A proper mission would have been nice though!

It's moments like this where Mass Effect 3 goes from utter brilliance to rushed stupidity.

Maybe I'm not making myself clear. The ending wasn't very good and it had a lot of scenes which just left more questions. I simply didn't think it was as bad as I was expecting. Mainly because of the pure hatred I've seen for it.

Watch this and see if you feel the same. It's the best explanation of why the ending is so utterly baffling that I've seen.

This is interesting!

The ending we have makes total sense if it's an indoctrination segment. But that means they either plan(ned) to take more money from us to fill in the proper ending or couldn't even be bothered to do an ending so they left it open to interpretation.

Oh god, everyone has to watch this. This is exactly what I wanted from the ending:

I like the idea of the indoctrination theory, but it's giving Bioware WAY too much credit. If anything, all the theory has done is offer them an escape route if they actually did decide to change the ending.

EDIT: 12 iChildren

Completed it.

Fantastic game story-wise. All the big set pieces felt epic and had (for the most part) really great conclusions with your moral choices having great implications. The desperation of the fight at hand, the fear everything had for the seemingly impossible task, the brilliantly done tender moments with Liara, Garrus, Kaiden etc. When the game works well, as in the moral choices and the characterisations, it all comes together to provide one of the best experiences of this generation. Bioware really created a special universe for gamers here....

AND THEN THEY strawberry floated IT ALL UP

I don't even know what to think yet. Mental that 100 hours or so of amazing gaming can be sullied by ten minutes of ending.

This guy has broken down the ending and put forward some pretty convincing arguments towards what he thinks has actually happened.

A lot of what he says makes a lot of sense but I'm unsure whether he's a genius or if he's just giving Bioware way too much credit.

All the time

Another "this ending is terrible" article http://www.gamefront.com/mass-effect-3- ... are-right/

No matter which of ME3′s endings you choose, the Mass Relays are all destroyed. Yes, despite the weakness of an ending that robs the galaxy of critical technology, the multicolored explosions (player choice!) are certainly pretty. But in The Arrival, it was firmly established that the destruction of a Mass Relay would result in an explosion resembling a supernova, destroying the relay’s star system. In Mass Effect 3′s ending, the Mass Relays are destroyed in explosions so massive that they’re depicted as being visible from a perspective that resembles the Normandy’s Galaxy Map. Which means that Shepard has probably killed more life forms than the Reapers could on their best cycle.

Didn't think of the scale being that large while I was watching the ending, I was too busy vomiting at the time.

Dunno if its been posted here before but

Even the writers knew the ending was the same just with different coloured explosions :fp:
