I'm not arguing that it's gooseberry fool. I'm saying people have no right to demand the developer make an entirely new ending.

And I've already explained why I think that's bollocks.

I think it's obvious that they didn't know how to end it. As they said they still didn't have much idea by November. They're not exactly compromising on artistic vision.

If you have essentially ruined your own fiction, you should be able to fix it.

But if the developer knows its gooseberry fool and the customers also think its gooseberry fool then why shouldn't they change it? The games industry is the only place where this is possible. You cant change the ending to a book or a movie, but you can change the ending to a game. And there's even more reason for them to do so seeing as the current ending is shite.

Army of Darkness and Blade Runner. It's not COMMON, but it's not unknown for movie endings to change.

What we got isn't really an ending. It's a "to be continued". This is equivalent to ending Lord of the Rings just after Frodo gets poisoned by Shelob.

Just because it's possible doesn't mean they should do it.

I think the music really does a good job of making me less mad at the ending. There's three really great pieces one after the other.

True enough.

The fact that the "ending" is iredeemably gooseberry fool means they should do it. The Normandy flying away from a gate explosion is WTF enough to justify it easily.

If you have, by general consensus, ruined your story, to the extent that you are feeling it, you should be able to fix it.

They already have the money of the people who are complaining. They must want to change it on some level.

I'm not so certain we have a right to demand a whole new ending.

I am however quite certain that we are entitled to be massively pissed off with the gooseberry fool we were presented with, for numerous reasons. False advertising, for one.

I have no intention of reading through the whole thread but has this been posted?

Warning, end spoilers.

Just saw it in a thread about lazy game devs on GAF and started laughing out loud.

Is that just a shortened version of the guy? Also, that background is a stock image. Google "space winter."

That piece is definitely my favourite but I also loved the end credits track as well.

At least Bioware's Sound Designers and Music Composers can hold their heads up high. :D

None of the new music in ME3 was done by Bioware. The end credits song is by the band Faunts (who did the ending song used in ME1) and the composer for the rest of the soundtrack was Clint Mansell, the guy beind the music for Black Swan, the Wrestler and Requiem for a Dream, including this rather iconic track:

Haven't finished the game, but that is horrific.

Every moment with that kid in it has felt totally out of place in a ME game. Especially the bit when you're in Shepherd's dream. WTF is that all about? Totally bloody rubbish.

The ending of the game was pretty bugged. I can only assume that it didn't get QAd as much as the rest of it. I had a couple of videos playing in slow motion and a few crashes near the end.

It is indeed. It's the guy on the left shrunk in proportion by half. It looks so wrong.
