I've been putting off playing mass effect 3 since it came out despite owning it three times. Now the dlc is on offer I'm thinking of doing a ps3 runthrough of two and three, and dlc packs worth playing through?

Been playing this the past few days, got almost 10 hours logged so far. Early days yet then, but I've finished the From Ashes DLC. Top stuff. Slightly pissed off that the Prothean survivor refers to his race as Protheans; that this clearly proud warrior bloke hasn't corrected his primitive cohorts as to his species' actual name, etc. I guess that's just him using the primitives' words and language to be understood, but even so, we have no idea what they called themselves.

I don't know if this would clash with ME3's ending, but I'd love for ME4 to put players in the role of an aspiring pirate/smuggler type out in the Terminus, who has to build up his/her crew, pilfer parts and supplies, kidnap people, take on bounties, fight off or conquer other pirate groups, go toe-to-toe with various Council militaries and a Spectre agent or two etc. ME1-3 had you using lots of top of the line gear from the off (the Normandy etc), so I'd like to see a perhaps more Firefly-esque game in ME-4 and 5, viewing the universe from a whole different perspective. Maybe the character you play is a tomb robber too, and uncovers something ominous while prospecting for valuable old gooseberry fool on a rock at the edge of the known galaxy... I dunno. Maybe, if Cerberus survives ME3, they are the big bad, trying to destroy the Alliance itself and assume control of all humanity and all the galaxy in turn.

I almost gave up on the last sections too, the frame rate was literally 2-3fps on ps3
