The bet I'm considering is...

Floyd by KO, TKO or DQ: 1.73

I cannot see it going the distance. Conor making it to the end would be seen as a win for him, effectively. It's a fun bet too, because the longer it goes the more invested I'll be.

God i hate decimal odds. That's a decent one though.

I just cannot see how CM can win? It's got to be impossible.

Although i view gambling as simply paying for added excitement.

2/7's the best you'll get on simple Floyd to win.

I wouldn't compare the two unless you're an "active trader" which I'm not. I don't regularly buy and sell individual companies. That's a mug's game too.

I buy index trackers which just buy proportionate shares and bonds by market cap weighting. Extreme diversification of the global economy + low costs + buy and hold strategy = deadly boring but it works very well - I'm betting on the world economy getting bigger which is inevitable. Just no plans to sell when the value is less than what I've invested.

Where can I get 2/7 on a simple win? Tempted to go Homer Simpson mode: "well you see Lisa, gambling makes a good thing great".

Whichever way you like to dress it up it still fits within the definition of gambling.

Ladbrokes, Coral, Betfair, etc. are all giving that. Oddschecker's the best site if yous want to look for yourselves.

Can't be arsed staying up, don't really care who wins although it would be mental if McGregor did.

I'm in New York while this fight is on. Going to find an Irish bar to see Americans wearing kilts and 'see you Jimmy' hats while calling everyone "laddy" to show off their Irish heritage.

I see the weigh-in is on the YT UFC channel and being promoted by UFC; is this fight taking place in a steel cage or a boxing ring?

i honestly think Mayweather might throw the fight - he's got nothing to lose except pride, and he'll get a huge payday, wins from betting against himself, his record will be intact ("that was a dumb exhibition not a boxing match" etc.), and he can retire - again.

I'm normally genuinely really good at making money on boxing, it's the only sport i still bet on as I'm so shite at predicting all the rest, but this one is a nightmare to call. In terms of when Mayweather will win, obvs.

I can see them making it a bit of a spectacle and not wanting to risk anything rash the first couple of rounds while they figure each other out so have changed from rounds 1-3 to rounds 8-11. Will prob put extra on 7 and 8 specifically. Really hard to make any accurate prediction.

Except if he's found out to be betting against himself then he would likely end up in prison. Also it's a fully sanctioned fight so his record would be 49-1.

Different states in America have different laws but there would certainly be some sort of investigation to try to establish if he threw the fight if his inner circle put bets on him to lose. The whole principle of it being illegal is that you are defrauding the general public who are placing bets in good faith. If millions are placed on mayweather to win and then he's found to be throwing the fight then that's an awful lot of people who have effectively been conned out of their money.

Any gambling experts?

Was looking to sign up online but fancy a good deal in the ways of free bets etc.

Can anyone recommend?

I don't mind putting money down.

Cheers

What are the chances of finding a stream for this? Will they be "policing" it too much?
