Can't believe this still hasn't actually happened yet, the build up feels like it's been going on for a lifetime.

I'm looking forward to it as a guilty pleasure, but at the same time I can't wait for it to be over so I don't have to hear about it anymore

I'm looking forward to it to make some money, i read that 96% of bets have gone on CM which are making the odds better all the time.

Mayweather in an early to mid round is looking like a nice investment. Know he hasn't ko'd anyone in a long time but i don't think Mcgregor will have the requisite defence to hold him off for long.

People are actually betting for McGreggor!!!

Casuals and the odds haven't been good enough to warrant money on Mayweather. KO for each round is roughly the same for both fighters now though.

One of my mates put on some money at 80/1 for mayweather to be KO'd in the first 40 seconds  :fp:

Exactly how will that help him during the fight other than looking really stupid.
It's about as useful as doing a moonwalk mid-fight.

I'm very tempted to bet on Mayweather winning but "gambling is a mug's game" springs to mind.

Also, I don't know what the returns are on "Mayweather to win" to spike my interest.

Don't you play the stock markets? Essentially gambling for posh people.

Although i view gambling as simply paying for added excitement.

2/7's the best you'll get on simple Floyd to win.

The bet I'm considering is...

Floyd by KO, TKO or DQ: 1.73

I cannot see it going the distance. Conor making it to the end would be seen as a win for him, effectively. It's a fun bet too, because the longer it goes the more invested I'll be.

God i hate decimal odds. That's a decent one though.

I just cannot see how CM can win? It's got to be impossible.

I wouldn't compare the two unless you're an "active trader" which I'm not. I don't regularly buy and sell individual companies. That's a mug's game too.

I buy index trackers which just buy proportionate shares and bonds by market cap weighting. Extreme diversification of the global economy + low costs + buy and hold strategy = deadly boring but it works very well - I'm betting on the world economy getting bigger which is inevitable. Just no plans to sell when the value is less than what I've invested.

Where can I get 2/7 on a simple win? Tempted to go Homer Simpson mode: "well you see Lisa, gambling makes a good thing great".

Whichever way you like to dress it up it still fits within the definition of gambling.

Ladbrokes, Coral, Betfair, etc. are all giving that. Oddschecker's the best site if yous want to look for yourselves.

Can't be arsed staying up, don't really care who wins although it would be mental if McGregor did.

I'm in New York while this fight is on. Going to find an Irish bar to see Americans wearing kilts and 'see you Jimmy' hats while calling everyone "laddy" to show off their Irish heritage.
