Platforms: Xbox Live, PSN, Wii Ware
Publisher: Capcom
Developer: Inti Creates Co
Release: March 2010

Info

Like in previous Mega Man games, you charge horizontally and vertically through levels, avoiding enemy robots and pitfalls, to get to a boss battle, gain its power, and use that power to defeat another level.

This game adds two more playable characters, one of them being Proto Man, who can slide and charge his arm cannon. New enemies were created for the game, including new bosses like Commando Man, which continually barrages the player with non-stop weapons, and Sheep Man, whose wool can turn into clouds that float in the air and rain lightning into the enemies (and Mega Man) from above.

The game also introduces a new Easy Mode to address the criticisms of the past game, which was deemed too difficult for modern gamers unaccustomed to the series. The Yashichi also returns to refill Life and Weapons energy.

Mega Man 9 was a strawberry floating nightmare. I was horrendous at it. Any chance this will have a VERY EASY mode?

You suck Proto.

In other news, bring it. I loved 9 and more of the same is not a bad thing.

Full roster of evil Robot Masters revealed

Image

Japanese monthly CoroCoro Comic has revealed the full roster of evil Robot Masters that will plague the blue bomber in Capcom's Mega Man 10. Are you ready to find out who is teamed with the stupendeous Sheep Man?

If you don't want to know, don't look down. Just be content with the knowledge that there are eight of them, and their names all end in "Man." That's right, no ladies this time around. Go ahead and click somewhere else now, while we rattle off some names.

In alphabetical order, we have: Blade Man, Chill Man, Commando Man, Nitro Man, Pump Man, Sheep Man, Solar Man, and Strike Man.

Now before we all begin wildly speculating what Pump Man does, here are descriptions for each.

Commando Man: Attacks with a powerful explosive wave.
Blade Man: Attacks with three swords.
Nitro Man: Can transform into a motorcycle. (Perhaps Turbo Man's little bro?)
Sheep Man: Splits up and creates lightning strikes.
Solar Man: Absorbs attacks and attacks with solar energy from his head.
Chill Man: Fires an icy shot. (Curiously, he seems to be called Chilled Man in here.)
Pump Man: Has a water-themed shield weapon.
Strike Man: Throws a powerful fastball.

Now that that's behind us, feel free to discuss what you'd rather have Pump Man do in the comments section.

Don't know what it is with sheeps and lightning. Lambo in Reborn! also uses lightning and he is a small 5 year old kid who dresses like a cow.

Good. Achievements are meant to be hard to get. What's the point otherwise. Easy achievements only really appeal to people like heatlight and Seven (no offense) who just like the little number it gives them rather than the challenge.

More companies need to take note about the achievements in this game.

Hard achievements are good, but almost impossible isn't.

Mega Man is famous for being rock hard, even on the Very Easy setting. Mega Man is all about memorising the enemies and what they will be doing. It wouldn't be long before someone release videos on You Tube, and people will follow it heartly.

PS To be fair, MHTL does like some challenging achievements as well. He already 200'd Ikargui which is no pushover. I wouldn't be surprised if MHTL do 200'd this. Yes, Heaty... I'm throwing the silver gauntlet at your feet. :o

MegaMan's biggest fans are those that like to perfect the buggers though so these achievements must be nice for them.

I still need to finish MegaMan 9. Final level! But god, final levels in Megaman :/

I like hard achievements too! Didn't stop me playing MM9 even if it has hard achievements. :-P I'd be disappointed if MM9 and MM10 has "easy" achievements to be fair.

I completed Mega Man 9 plenty of times on the Wii, so could eventually do the 1st 8 levels without geting hit. Keep in mind you can save between each of them, so if you die, just reload.

The 4 Willy levels killed me, though. The orange monster :x
