Great vids, man. I wasn't sure about this game but those two vids have changed my mind. I love the music and I spotted that How Soon Is Now was on the playlist :o . I'll have to pick this up at some point.

Bear in mind, the playlist labelled 'Musical Content' is my custom stuff.

Oh, man. Cheers for the update. Perhaps I'd be better off buying your playlist than MGS V  .

Sorry about that.

The game has some great tracks included though and even without all that it's still a blast to play. Well worth at least trying out at some point.

It's a possibility. The only thing is, I don't use flares and the Side Op I'd completed wiped out anyone in that valley so there shouldn't have been anyone to use one. Odd.

Is that new Eurogamer article a review, or not? It's got SPOILERS in it so I'd rather not read it, nor does it have a stamp of approval!

I can't see anything on my iDroid :?

You need to have done mission 22 (?) and then a tutorial thing will happen when you're on the chopper.

That's done, and I've built my FOB, but there's no option to start infiltration missions.

Maybe do a mission or side op and then go back to the chopper when you're done.

Thanks, I now have an FOB MISSIONS option on the Missions tab :)

It's a thought piece on the ending. It has spoilers, avoid if you haven't finished the game.

Thanks. For some reason I thought the review was delayed...but that's for The Taken King, not this.

Oh boy does this fall apart in chapter 2. At this point I feel more like I'm enduring the game than enjoying it.

Feeling like this is becoming a real mess now and has lost any sense of direction or purpose. Seems like I'm being contradictory information time and time again, new stuff introduced doesn't match up with what I've had for a while.

I kind of just want it to end now.

Now, I haven't played the game. My knowledge is based upon stuff that you guys write and from reading reviews.

Rog and CK, you guys seem pretty disappointed. Am I right in thinking this isn't actually a bad game - it's just perhaps not quite the complete Metal Gear finale that some folk were hoping for? Many folk were praising the game but I''m starting to see a few now sharing different views. I guess that, like all games, there are a some niggles and these wind up some people more than others.

It does seem unfinished. There is an ending to the game which is the end of chapter one and then after that the game seems rushed. My current mission list is to redo missions I've already done on harder difficulties and the cutscenes I'm receiving seem to be random wastes of time. It's odd. That first chapter is a 10/10 (even with the dodgy missions that ended it). So far this second part is just.......meh. There is an amazing 40 hours in this.

Ah, I see - thanks for the update, Rog

It may be fine for me as I suspect I wouldn't get past that first 40 hours :) .

So far I would say it's a great concept executed pretty well punctuated with moments of real brilliance. Seems like there's also a hell of a lot of poor game design though and Kojima nonsense which stop it from being a classic.

The second half of the game is incredibly disappointing and, indeed, unfinished. Of the 19 missions in chapter 2 only 6 or so are new. The final mission was even cut and is up on Youtube to watch, complete with a 15 minute cut-scene that should have been on the disc as the end of the game.

Disappointing doesn't cover it.

I don't know how anyone could disagree with how disappointing chapter 2 is.

Just WTF :fp: So I'm going through this gooseberry fool half and doesn't even have the decency to reward me for it.
