Potential stupid question here.

I'm working through side ops on 107 completed of 150 ish.

How do I know which ones I have completed as I have ticked, unticked and bright white.

Wish my image sig would work

Ticked are completed. Bright white just means you can replay them (for recruiting solders and finding resources etc) Every time you re-play one it gets more difficult, btw.

It appears that the new DLC jumpsuit outfit for Eva doesn't offer the "tactical advantage" mentioned in the DLC description.

Konami originally wrote:...the chest area can be unzipped for a tactical advantage.

Eurogamer has carried out an investigation, leaving no zip untested, and now...

Konami, updating the descriptive text, wrote:...the item can be unzipped as a bold fashion statement.

So gamers can pay to get Eva to display her breasts as "a bold fashion statement". Konami working hard to bring a range of purchase options to meet the tastes of a diverse range of gamers  .

Finished the main storyline earlier (all 50 Episodes complete) I knew what was coming with the 'twist' seeing as I spoiled it for myself like a right numpty very early on in the game when I read the wiki for the game. Loved it anyway, favourite game of this gen and possibly my favourite of the MG games, I mean it must be seeing as I've put over 170 hours in to it so far and I'm not done yet as I want to mop up the remaining Side-Ops plus I still need to develop a damn nuke.

Yeah, I just did The Truth mission. It just popped in there alongside all the other replays of previous missions so I went ahead with it. Had no idea it was the finale.

This is like the third time Kojima has done the whole character switcharoo and it still got me. I mean, it doesn't really hold up under any hard scrutiny but the reveal was still extremely effective. So many questions though... Smashing the mirror seemed to imply Phantom Big Boss was tge evil one, but the epilogue states it was BB himself who set up Outer Heaven. But then the date scroll says Solid actually killed the Phantom at Outer Heaven, and BB in Zanzibarland which presumably means Phantom and BB were working together in Outer Heaven.

I mean, that is just classic Kojima

It's bullshit. I'm just about to do the truth mission now.

You know, now I've seen it, it still raised a smile and I liked the cassette at the end. It's still bullshit though. The story in this was pretty appauling and nothing like it should have been. It could've been amazing but it was more like a wet fart. Good thing that the gameplay is amazing.

It's one of the best games I've played.
And I've never been so disappointed.

Just watched the cut content and holy gooseberry fool, you're bang on there. What a massive shame. I thought they'd just left out a cutscene or two regarding Eli but no, it's a whole sub-plot with a completely new area and boss. Nothing about that sequence was peripheral it was full on, core story content. Unbelievable.

EDIT: After a bit of reading there's apparently content on the disk from an entire third chapter. Holy gooseberry fool, they literally released half a game. An awesome half, but still half.

Giving up looking for S rank rank soldiers for the R+D department. It's getting to be strawberry floating ridiculous as it's got some dirty, filthy, flicking annoying, weird raging hard on for giving me S ranks for intel & base support.

What a waste of a day this has been.

Only one side op left of the ones I've unlocked a God awful hit all targets one.

I've been going back through missions to find specialists I've missed so I can get the last few upgrades.

Still enjoying it but not as much as I was. I've moved back to D-Dog as he makes the game enjoyable but not too easy. I've also upgraded my sniper rifle and grenade launcher to long range zoomers with no kill knockout abilities.

I tried some extreme missions but they are not for me at the minute. Far too frustrating so for now it's specialist hunting and a lot of sniping.

Wish my image sig would work

I've managed to S-rank the first 4 Extreme missions up to Traitor's Caravan.
Considering how much gooseberry fool that mission threw at me the first time around, I'm shocked to say the least. Wormhole Fulton might have played a part.
On to Mission 35...

strawberry floating love this game.

Not quite. There is a title card for it, but nothing else significant. It's largely assumed now to be an easter egg related to the FOB stuff. It would appear after the FOB nuclear disarmament cutscene.

The cut content does sting though, all the same. Especially because it's an entirely standalone area, with its own design requirements. It could have been finished ages ago, left to one side, and then slotted in as an ending at almost any point during Chapter 2. Horribly disappointing mismanagement. It should have been a priority. :(
