I was actually looking forward to Rising.

duckroll on Gaf is pretty clued up with the people he knows and Rising is meant to be causing a fair few problems. Now if they cancel that and make Z.O.3 I wouldn't mind.

Wow, has this only been mentioned recently?

I can't see why (bar the money) Kojima would want to do another MGS. The story is done, do not want a remake, leave that to next gen). I was actually more interested in seeing where they were going with Rising, atleast it was a different play style

I would happily settle for HD remakes of the first 3 MGS titles.

just don't put anymore 80 minute cut scenes in (it felt that long anyway).. mental way to break up the flow of a good game (for my tastes anyway).

Well, Kojima said that he wanted to step back from being director after MGS3 and let someone else take the reigns- it was only after fan outrage (includng numerous death threats) that he decided to co-direct MGS4. I'd be very surprised if Kojima has anything more than a supervisory role on this one.

He said that Peace Walker and working on the character of Naked Snake reignited his passion for MGS. He wrote and directed that game, I hope he does another game with Big Boss. A sequel to Peace Walker on PS3/NGP.

Now Jiggles, we all know that portables don't count toward the mainline series.

It's a shame they pussied out and removed the "5" from the title. It had every right to be called that.

Maybe it'll be the death of Solid Snake? :(

I can't see Old Snake doing it all over again... Surely?!

It had to be one of those presequels. With Big Boss.

I think they need to go back to the original Metal Gear games and Solid Snake's missions to bring down his father, Big Boss.

Indeed it did. S-E were brave enough to put a mainline Dragon Quest on portables.

Sounds to me like PSM3 just taking an educated guess, & not knowing anything particularly insider, but then nor were they claiming to.

Bring back Solid Snake, bin the existing storyline. Just far too convoluted to carry on with, & in my view was adequately put to bed in 4.

The GAF announcement thread when that happened

Does anyone remember when PSM3 used to continually promise ZOE3 info?

One time, they had it as the full-page featured game in the "Next Month" section, saying gooseberry fool like "it's definitely coming" and "we've seen it!", and when the next month rolled around, they apologised for the last-minute delay and said it would definitely be in the next issue. And they kept doing that for like 5 months.

Somewhat less "brave" doing it on DS than PSP though, I think you'll agree.

strawberry floating what? That's ridiculous! If I were him, I'd have told them to strawberry float themselves. Nerds are incapable of actually following through on death threats anyway.
