I want it to be good, it certainly looks the part, but part of the original's appeal was that stylus controls made it something so much more, hopefully traditional controls won't turn this puzzle legend into a cumbersome mess.

It doesn't seem quite the same when it's not all vertical... Still, looking good.

It'd eliminate scrubbing. I always liked Meteos more than the tedious overrated rubbish that is Lumines, anyway, so this is great news.

Live Arcade goes from strength to strength. I can't even remember the last no frill retro port.

It was, on the DS.

The first game was played with the DS held normally, Disney Meteos made you hold it book style.

Well, your post was confusing - generally, if you're talking about more vertical room, you're referring to the DS being held in the book style. But evidently you meant that it was strange that the planets weren't on top (but given that the top screen was never used in that manner, I've no idea how it could feel strange).

No, you're the one being confusing. When I talk about vertical room in DS games I mean the standard holding position which is not the book position, I've never once heard anybody describe the DS being on its side as it being vertical, as the DS unit itself is horizontal when held in the book position. Big :fp: for you.

I never held Meteos in the book position and don't understand why anybody would.

In Meteos: Disney Magic you hold the DS book style. ;)

I'm looking forward to seeing if they can pull off using an analogue stick to play, instead of a stylus.

When most people talk about the DS being held vertically, they're talking about the book position. Because there's more vertical screen space, and the console itself takes up more vertical room.

And yeah, Meteos: Disney Magic is held in the book position.

Thus, a big, hearty :fp: back atcha, Alv.

It will be like playing Meteos without the stylus which worked alright. Looking forward to this, hope it's a cheaper affair than Lumines Live was.

Yes! YES! YES!

I never got the insane Lumines love that consumed everyone post-PSP release.

Couldn't possible work as well as on DS. Meteos is the best puzzler ever made.
