That was and still is hilarious. It was an overblown performance - a cherry picker with a wind machine, really!

I thought the memorial service (or whatever you want to call it) for MJ was very good. My whole family are huge Jackson fans & I've been to a few of the Motown Legends gigs in the past so it was good to see so many familiar people.

I hope they do a proper tribute concert though. It doesn't have to be any time soon, it could be next year as far as I am concerned - as long as they get it right. I just have a feeling that AEG will want to get something done in the next few months to make up for their loss of income, which would be gooseberry fool.

I didn't even remember this was on and caught it from Jennifer Hudson onwards. Shed some not-very-manly tears at Brooke Shields and Jermaine singing Smile in particular.

Then his daughter

From what I saw the whole thing was completely ridiculous. Also am I the only one who saw his daughter thing for what it was? Pathetic. The Jacksons should be ashamed of themselves for parading her in front of the world when she's so upset and more importantly considering her father spend so much (ridiculous) effort to maintain their privacy.

And Brooke Shields is a strawberry floating retard. Do you know anyone who doesn't love to laugh? If you're laughing, you're probably enjoying yourself.

Loads of nobodies trying to grab a bit of limelight.

Millions of people did not know what Michael was like. I'm sure his relationship with Shields was an eye opener to many people. It showed that during his spare time, he did normal stuff like you and I. It was clearly hard for her to get up and speak so fair play.

As for the daughter thing, if she genuinely wanted to speak then that's fine. If she was told to speak then that's not really on, but she did a good job of it.

I think you guys are reading into it far too much. Singers who looked up to Michael Jackson and were influenced by him sang some songs at his memorial. Not exactly attention seeking.

EDIT: Jarvis Cocker is a banana split.

Sorry but, this.

I jsut saw the clips on the news today and it made me sick. Mariah Carey caterwauling out a few tunes just to get herself some publicity, wheeling his poor daughter out to cry on TV, ffs, we all know his kids are gonna be upset, let them have their grief in private, the world doesnt need to see a 10 year old cry on international TV cause she missees her dad. Its was just another media circus so waning celebs like mariah can get 5 minutes on tv, ratings can rise and papers can sell

edit:

also agree with H Bizzle on this (didnt see your post til now)

Oh man, when his daughter was speaking I just thought this is disgusting. All of the immediate family piled around her - it was just a bit much. I found it properly disturbing.
