I never thought I'd want to see Alan Partridge get the girl.

Apparently not. It should at least give Mid Morning Matters more exposure - I bet most people know absolutely nothing about it.

Cloudbusting is so full of win! Utah Saints certainly thought so. The whole album is, actually. Waking The Witch is my favourite - a twisted duet with herself, the second incarnation of whom assumes the role of an evil, booming voiced inquisitor.

I felt really sorry for him. Which is pretty impressive, considering he was a giant twat in most of the other episodes.

That bit with the mouthwash was my favourite!

Oh, and best bit of the whole run? When he's sleeping on his swivel chair and slowly falls off. Classic.

Forgot that bit! Classic! Also the scene with the orange was superb!

I think this sort of thing is definitely the right way for Coogan to take the character because being a DJ/Radio presenter is kind of what he is supposed to be. One thing I thought was really good was that they didn't show what happened to side kick Simon which kind of leaves it up to your own imagination to decide!

Quite impressed with Coogan as I thought he would struggle to return to the character after going to Hollywood but if anything he has made it better.

Alan Partridge : Knowing Me, Knowing You is going for a paltry £4.99 on Amazon. The follow up, I'm Alan Partridge, is a penny more:

Steve Coogan's latest Alan Partridge outing, Mid Morning Matters, is reportedly set to get its UK TV premiere on Sky Atlantic.

The BSkyB pay-TV channel is in pole position to land the rights to the show, first aired in November last year online in an initiative funded by beer brand Foster's, according to trade magazine Broadcast.

Mid Morning Matters, which follows Partridge as he records his North Norfolk Digital radio show, was streamed on the internet in 12 episodes of between 10 and 15 minutes and is being re-edited into a six-part TV series of half hour instalments.

Sky Atlantic is talking to Coogan and Henry Normal's production company Baby Cow about a deal for a second series and a Christmas special, Broadcast reports.

A Sky spokesman declined to comment on Mid Morning Matters specifically, but confirmed that the broadcaster was in negotiations to work with Coogan.

"We are talking to Steve Coogan about a variety of projects and more details will follow in due course," he said.

It emerged in June that Baby Cow was in talks with broadcasters including the BBC about bringing Mid Morning Matters to TV.

The BBC has been the home of Coogan's Partridge character since he started out on Radio 4's On The Hour. Coogan later transferred the character to TV in news spoof The Day Today, chatshow parody Knowing Me, Knowing You … with Alan Partridge and the first series of I'm Alan Partridge in 1997.

But apart from the odd sketch for Comic Relief, Coogan's character has not appeared in a full TV series since 2002's second run of I'm Alan Partridge on BBC2. A one-off spoof documentary about Partridge's career, Anglian Lives, was broadcast on BBC2 in 2003.

There's some photos of the new Alan Partridge movie in this week's Nuts magazine. Looks like his radio career has gone South too, as he's selling flowers at a market stand.

Looking forward to a film.

The book was surprisingly brilliant
"Brian Golding. Bonkers Bri combined a wacky sense of humour with a genuine mental illness. He went on to Co-host Drive time on signal radio before finally killing himself in 1991"
