Over the last few days I've had 3 instances of the voices disappearing during a cutscene in a game. It's happened once in each of Spec Ops:The Line, Sonic Generations and Sleeping Dogs. The rest of the audio still plays, but the voices drop out. After the effected cutscene, everything works fine. Any ideas why this might happen?

There shouldn't be any technical reason for losing one channel of audio like that in three different games.

The only thing I can think of that might hit all those games in a similar way is if all the cutscenes are FMV and you're having some kind of codec issue?

Are you using two speakers? Check your pcs audio settings under your playback devices and check that it's not set to 5.1. Check your ingame audio setting to see it's not set to 5.1.
