More identity speculation

Good Guess. Based on post count rather than erratic behaviour I hope :slol:

It was this:

Frank Callahan wrote:As mentioned before, I am a common man, with no agenda here.

I can be trusted.

That made me think it was likely to be one of the two of you, as it's the kind of thing you've said before...

There was also a line from the Count along the lines of "Sorry, someone has to be".

I paraphrased that in the hope someone might notice.

I also got PMed earlier today but it wasn't malicious so I disregarded it.

Read the Ben Mearz stuff - tricky situation.

The Count is clearly a Lovecraft fan :D

Massively so. Though not of the massive racism.

Out of interest can you give me more details on that PM? I will need to speak to them to remind them not to do it again.

When Edmund and I went to the maze I said we had seen nothing. He mentioned the herbs but the PMed me to apologise if he had said something that I wanted kept quiet.
I thought it better not to mention the herbs as they are likely to be useful to a herbalist.

The Will situation is a weird one. He seemed so sure the vote would be rigged, so that would make him the vote rigger, right? As there's no PMs. But the likelihood that someone would use a special power to send a message to the vote rigger on day one? Very low. If he's the vote rigger he's as trusted a villager as they can get at this early stage - unless the vamps get a vote rigger (but it'd be an outlandish play for a vamp vote rigger to make that play on day one!) - but the private vote and subsequent shenanigans have wrecked trust in him.

Okay that's fine, thanks. It's stuff that'll materially effect the game I'm watching out for.

He was the mayor hosting a private ballot so the responsibility for giving me the vote count was on him. Any mayor doing a private ballot can rig the vote.

I've noticed that when people die, you haven't been saying what they were - is there a reason for that?

I like the purple light mechanic, if I presume correctly that it makes the Mayor a seer by proxy.
An accidental seer means that the threat remains throughout the game.

I getcha, OK. Still, very odd for him to do it so theatrically - he must've been certain he was going to bag a vamp!

Big update for the spectator crew!

The Charismatic Preacher recruited a seer and then immediately lost the seer to the cult. This should be interesting.

That is interesting - I presume the cult leader will kill the preacher if they get chance (it's their win condition right?) but it means the possibility of a PM circle involving a seer could build

Depends on whether the participants are aligned with the village, as to whether it's a good thing or not!

Technically it's not the cult leader's win condition but once the cult leader and preacher know each other's identity they have to try to kill each other before the other one does.

Him receiving a note was total nonsense, he killed Kristen for a different reason but the imaginary note is his best defence to stay alive and help the village with his actual role

One early observation I've made is that those with names traditionally considered to be for women have a far poorer chance of survival than those with names for men...

The village really does feel a bit screwed here.

3 kills a night, plus a cult plus presumably no protection role (unless they just didn't target me in which case RIP) is rough going honestly.

The eye burner doesn't have infinite kills.

Yup. It does seem that tiredness can indeed kill.

I had a good run, and had intended to get into the swing of things starting with this next day. I wonder if that Zadok shot me? Or maybe Mary Fay? They both seemed insistent on gunning for me on flimsy evidence.

Spectator thread bonus info:

You were killed by Nyarlathotep. For every kill he does up to a maximum of 5, I enforce a handicap on his posting. If he does 5 kills his account name gets changed to Nyarlathotep. Which is basically a death sentence.
