Nintendo's Dragalia Lost has finally released in the UK!

I think this is meant to be pretty decent? My appetite for mobile games has diminished to near zero, but I will download this to take a look.

I downloaded it and played the opening section (i.e. around twenty minutes; up until the main menus appear). My initial thoughts:

+ Good graphics and excellent music
+ Simple, slick gameplay
+ Early tuition guidance is cool...
- ...and then - blam! - you're hit with a rushed load of information as the main menu and a dizzying array of screens appear!
- The purchases appear to be very expensive; I wonder how important they are as the game progresses?
- More testing required, but the game seems to hit the battery pretty hard

I am positive at this early stage and I will explore further... but I am cautious about the pay aspects.

This seems surprisingly high budget for a mobile game. Fully voiced cutscenes and everything. I'd read a bit about it before but I didn't realise it played like an isometric action RPG, I thought it was just some simple turn-based thing.

Yeah, it does seem to be a cool game, Mafro. I'm apprehensive about the pay aspects - the mobile approach always turns me away! - but hopefully they won't get hugely intrusive over time.

I think I'm gonna delete Dragalia, despite having barely played it yet. It *does* seem to be pretty decent, but I just don't want to risk being drawn in by the "micro" transactions. They are expensive and I wanna avoid temptation.

Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent

> HD-2D for smartphones – 3D CG screen effects added to pixelized graphics create a magical world on smartphones.
> Eight-character party command-based battles – Form a party of up to eight characters to fight in evolved command-based battles. Smooth gameplay with swipe controls.
> Choice of story between three reigning champions – The setting is the Orsterra continent. The protagonist is a “Chosen One” who will fight against a great evil that has achieved fortune, power, and fame.
> Field commands – Take various actions towards characters on the field. Try out all sorts of things, such as “Listen” for information, “Steal” an item, “Hire” an ally, and more.

Well I'm interested just as long as the end doesnt have about 3+ hours worth of gaming with no save point..... :x Oh and that it doesnt try to steal from my wallet every 5 secs.
Champions of the Continent is a free-to-play, single-player RPG

Oh.

It'll be interesting to see what form the microtransactions take for this.

Sums it up.

I wasn’t the greatest fan of Octopath, but it had good aspects. A sequel, or another game from the same team, could be great. That it’s being delayed so that they can push out a microtransaction-riddled spin-off instead is...

...well it’s very Square-Enix, is what it is.

Occult themed card game Cultist Simulator is now on mobile!

Deal out some darkness.

Played about an hour this morning, and it's just as excellent as the PC version is. It includes all the free updates the PC version has had so far, and they're currently working on porting over the DLC.

Had a splurge on some games for my new iPad. Bought GRID Autosport (£9.99) Gris (£1.99) Inside (£6.99 if only I realised I own it on PCs Epic Store/Launcher) X Com Enemy Within (forgot the price of that one) and Alien Blackout because why not for less than 80p and installed previously bought ones (Mario Run, Ace Attorney HD, Heroki, Monument Valley, Bastion and Dust AET)

I'll likely play none of those thanks to PUBG :fp:

Got around £6 left in iOS credit so any recommendations?
