So I've defeated the new raid boss. It's actually an ok fight once it opens up. The first few attempts I was running in circles having no idea what was going on. The new armour sets are game changers for mixed sets. The random weapons seem ok. But nothing hugely impressive. The drop rate and amount of stuff you need to come to is ridiculous though. The new deliveries all require new tickets and they apparently only drop from the raid boss.
Overall it's ok, and a lot different. Could have been so much better but at least it's free.
Trying to solo this is uh, somethin' else. Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but I'm not super keen on this raid style format. If my copy of GoW doesn't arrive tomorrow, I might try a hand in joining randoms to try and grind for the armour. Otherwise I'll just skip out and wait for the next one >,>
I haven't played online with anyone except my friend and once with a member of my old raid static. Since I jumped in with World I probably feel like I'll be that guy, but guess I should get it over with sooner or later.
Then I can swap over to judging other players instead of myself like the asshole healer I am.
After a few raids I've managed to get enough for everything for the Beta set. All I need is the jewel from it but I'll just get that with a golden ticket later. Overall it's an ok raid but I'd have preferred a new monster which can be fought on all maps.
You only need to go to the ancient forest once. Colllect one footprint and go back to the village. It takes 5 seconds. It's still a pointless exercise though and just there for padding.
Was going to the limitsx event quests tonight but went on god of war instead.
September Shoot for Paul W.S. Anderson’s ‘Monster Hunter’
Constantin Film’s “Monster Hunter,” the video game adaptation budgeted at around $60 million, will go into production starting in September, re-teaming Constantin with its “Resident Evil” star Milla Jovovich, director Paul W. S. Anderson and producer Jeremy Bolt.
Meanwhile, Constantin is still working on a “Resident Evil” reboot, the shingle’s topper Martin Moszkowicz said at Cannes.
Like “Resident Evil: the Final Chapter,” which grossed $312 million worldwide, “Monster Hunter” will shoot in South Africa, in and around Cape Town.
To be fair he does have talent..... When he puts his mind to it. Event Horizon is bloody awesome and some of the Resident Evil sequels are fun and silly action zombie craziness.
Monster Hunter is only about the monsters so as long as it's filled with them and lots of cats then it'll be a spectacle.
Also.. ... Hasn't he been trying to make Castlevania the movie for about 10 years? Wonder if that'll ever get made. Though it would be gooseberry fool with a post credit scene revealing Alucard for a sequel that was direct to video.
Just read more about it.... It's not looking good.
60 million budget Shot in south Africa Features an average American.... Who enters a parallel world filled with monsters.... Then the world's collide and the monsters come across....
It needs a huge budget and some world building so people buy into the creatures and the world, doesn't need average man/woman coming across with a gun to show them how is done .
At least it may lead to some good Monster Hunter toys and merchandise.
Lunastra's always been her own thing, along similar lines to how Rathalos and Rathian are essentially the same design but with different combat flows. So while she is essentially a reskin, she's different enough that she's worth having in. I think it would be a better update if they packaged Oroshi Kirin in at the same time though since that leaked monster list is basically confirmed accurate now. On that note, wonder if when they bring Alatreon it'll stay with the same big arena-style fight or if they'll rework it into a siege quest.
