First time hunting Moran will always be a special moment for me. Like Mafro said, it's a pure spectacle that works really well compared to other larger monsters.

I don't necessarily have a preference of who I want in World, just as long as it's diverse.

There's no Jho in the HR30+ mushroom quest. In fact, there are no monsters at all. It's just for farming Tempered tracks.

Was there information before hand to suggest Jho would even be in it? Still yet to face any Tempered beast myself.

I mean, a HR30+ mushroom gathering quest called "A Simple Task" is evidence enough, and they knew that.

It's such a brilliant game. I've started on my 3rd build, this one is gun lance. Will no doubt move onto a 4th soon enough. Might go great sword or long sword as I can't get away with the bowguns.

Wish my image sig would work

I'm still kinda taking my time with the game. Roughly around 50 Hours in. I wish I hadn't seen the Lavasioth armour sets because now I really want the second version >,> I still plan to farm for Legiana's armour but unsure which one to get. Currently about to Hunt Nerg for the first time too. I'm psyched.

150 hours in, HR 55 or so I think. Did tempered Kirin a while back. Still having a blast.

I take back what I said about Uragaan cuz' I just got mauled trying to hunt one. The tremor combos are nasty when you miss the evade. Speaking of, why in the heck does the effect last so ungodly long? You stumble around what feels like an eternity in this game ">_>

I'm a bit confused by that monster

He's meant to be weak to stun but his head is protected with armour

His chin breaks fairly easily, after which it becomes the weakest part of his body.

He moves around a lot more than what I'm used to >,> My mindset is still thinking Tri/3U lol. I'm sure a few more Hunts and I'll have the tells down. Just threw me off guard for a sec.

I beat nergigante, strawberry float that guy.

I don't know how you're meant to fight him with a gunlance, thought it would be easier to block with a sheild but some of his attacks just take off huge chunks of damage even with the shield and you're not mobile enough. I take it you're just meant to sheathe a lot and just get in quick full bursts here and there.

Beat him with my paralysis hammer in the end :D

I still have yet to take on Nerg since I've been trying to upgrade weapons. Decided on trying to get the Legiana B set before I do. Somehow carved a Plate and got rewarded a gem in 2 quest lol. Want to eventually decorate it with constitution and extra Ice attack. Not the most creative but I can experiment more late game ">,>

Element Attack works in a really weird, stupid way now by the way:

So by the sounds of it elemental weapons really aren't worth the hassle right now then?

Sounds like you have to make a build focused on one particular element and then fight a monster with that weakness, and then hit it's crit spots all the time otherwise you may as well just be using raw damage.

I still really don't understand how elemental damage works, and I really don't understand why they make the damage system so confusing.
