There's a new Kirin variant? Nice, can't wait for more weapon-bouncing shenanigans
Did an expedition earlier where I was trying to track down Tobi-Kadachi, found it and followed it to a clearing where it promptly joined in on a turf war between Anjanath and Rathian. Tried to get some hits in but in the end just had to sit back and watch them murder each other because it was just too much carnage. Man I love this game

If you get hit with its attack that makes you bleed you can just crouch for 5 seconds or so and it goes away. You don't need to eat one of those jerky to get rid of it.
Hunted my first Tobi and it was really fun. Refreshing to see early on. Hearing about some of these other late game Monsters has me excited to try and take on tho. Tempered Kirin? I need to fight this >,>

The bleeding is fine. It's the fact he's a fast bugger that hits like a freight train.

Git Gud?
Ice him up baby! Just dodge dodge dodge until he gets tired?
Frenzy was a "virus" in MH4 that made monsters more violent. Generations had an equivalent in "Hyper" monsters. Tempered I believe is the equivalent to those.
The "level difficult" that you allude to has always been Low Rank -> High Rank -> G Rank, where G Rank is usually only in the second release of the game. I don't think Tempered is meant as a G Rank equivalent as G Rank monsters have new moves, new material drops, new armour sets etc.
At over 80 hours in I need 3 bits of fire dog webbing for my last upgrade for my build... But i'm really thinking of trying the switch axe as a new main and mix things up. Seen a few builds and it looks like fun.
