I almost become one of Jho's 5 a day there "">,> Forgot how ruthless it can be, jeeeezus. That hip check can sod off too. Also managed to get a gem on the first hunt.

Kinda related but how do I unlock the optional Bazel quest? Or is it Expedition/Investigation only? Hunted one earlier and didn't get it.

Did the event with two monsters as a test, killed them both in about 3 minutes. Such an enjoyable weapon to use too.

I only used dual blades once and there didn't seem to be much to them. Did I miss something?

Basically they hit very fast so can apply a status element quickly. They use only tiny amounts of stamina and if you use that build it means you don't lose sharpness so you're always hitting critical hits and getting insane damage numbers.

It's also a pretty fun build as it's quick and very easy to play with. In combination with the money generating mantle on an arena quest you'll print money.

Oh nice they’ve added a tempered Deviljho quest :dread:

I meant more mechanically. Dual blades just don't seem to have any interesting moves beyond the back cartwheel.

Does anyone know where I can find a list of weapons that can get to white sharpness?

Felt pretty emotional facing off against Kusha and Teostra again. They've been pretty beefed up, damn. Vaal was interesting to say the least >,> The armour looks awesome tho.

I tried him too, with the bow and then with dual blades. Got him sleeping but couldn't get the final blow in.

Horrible fight with so many close calls.

Tried again online with IG this time (was using Great Sword before). One attack completely drained the vitality mantle. One hit killed from full health when I was pinned down by him.

Some videos on YouTube of people doing it in under 4 minutes. Normally they use the heavy gun and 4 of them basically nuke him. Doesn't look like fun, but it does work.

The Xeno fight was kinda disappointing. Think I had my expectations a little too high. That's the "story" done and over with anyhoo. I guess the game actually starts now lol >,>

Bah, the tempered Jho quest is gone. Must have just been a limited weekend thing for now.

The quests being time limited is one of my biggest complaints, I've missed so many

Why not just let the quests always be taken on after they've been released

It's coming back for the entire duration of the spring festival starting next week.

Hit 200 hours in this now. Still a lot of stuff to explore. Up there with Bloodborne and MGS5 for best games of this generation.

Very rewarding and balanced. I'm moving back to more solo play as I get better as I find online is hit and miss, sometimes everyone is amazing, sometimes they all die in seconds.

That's why I have still yet to play any online. I'm still incredibly rusty and don't feel as consistent as I should be. Speaking of, that double Bezal quest is uh, quite the introduction to Tempered monsters ">,> think I gotta properly prepare for this one.

Got this on Saturday. Think I'm starting to understand the loop of it now. Boy there sure is a lot to take in.

Think I overprepared for Tempered Kirin. Turns out the trick is to not get hit, and do damage to him.

But yeah, think I've more or less got my build good to go, at least for greatswords. Will work on hunting horn, then sword and shield later.

I really need to put more hours in, only just unlocked Nergigante. Kind of annoyed that I'm missing the Spring event while I'm at home in the Land That Broadband Forgot as well, can't even download the patch to get Jho :(

I'm only at 70 hours and Negigante is my next quest too. The game is brilliant, but goddamn do I find it hard to play on console rather than on handheld. It was so much easier to just have the game constantly on sleep so I could just jump into a quest whenever, and play on the bus to and from work.

The Kulu Ya Ku hat though? Amazing B) Wiggler hat is still the best, but I love that they keep adding things like this :D
